After 7 on Tour
After 7 has been topping charts and electrifying stages with their distinctive R&B swagger for over three decades. Today, Kevon Edmonds, Keith Mitchell and Danny McClain serenade audiences with buttery smooth vocals and laid-back beats reminiscent of the old-school party vibes of the '90s. With four Top 10 R&B/hip-hop albums under their belts, the trio returns to the stage in 2022 for the aptly named Unfinished Business Tour. After 7 Live in Concert
After 7 was formed in 1988 by Indiana University students and future R&B stars Melvin Edmonds, Kevon Edmonds and Keith Mitchell. Brothers Melvin and Kevon were no strangers to fame as the older siblings of the legendary Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. With a whole lot of talent and a little help from their younger brother, the trio was able to land a deal with Virgin Records in 1989 to produce their self-titled debut album. The group quickly rose to stardom with "Heat of the Moment" reaching No. 5 on the Billboard R&B chart. Throughout the '80s and '90s, After 7's hot streak continued as their self-titled album After 7 went platinum in 1989 and Takin' My Time achieved gold status in 1992. The group split after 1995's Reflections to take a 20-year break from recording, but thankfully regrouped to tour in the mid-2000s. In 2016, After 7 hit the studio once again to release their fourth album Timeless. The group's lineup has changed over time, most notably after the death of original member Melvin Edmonds in 2019. However, the trio was restored when Danny McClain joined leading up to the release of Unfinished Business in 2021. After 7 is an NAACP Image Award recipient and have been nominated for a Grammy and American Music Award.
I really enjoyed all three acts Lavelle and Kenny Latimore ,AFTER 7. Kenny is just so gifted and only just sampled some of his hits. Left you wanting more. What can I say about after 7. They had me sounding like my parents . Now that's music! The showmanship reminds you of what entertainment is supposed to be. Young Melvin is making his dad proud!!!!! I would definitely see them again.
After 7 always gives a great show. Saturday, July 1st was no different. I almost didn't go to the show because it was pouring raining on the Northside. However, I'm glad I went. I got to Country Club theater at 6. The weather was perfect. Not a bad seat in the venue. After 7 sounded smooth as always. I love seeing them perform. They could have performed for another hour they have so many hits. Would definitely go see them again. This group is underrated and should be given more accolades. Kenny Lattimore opened for them and he also performed fantastic!
Over all everything was great differently will attend again

From start to finish I enjoyed myself I had a good time even my partner had a good time he was everywhere talking and laughing and mingling with everybody he was everywhere but on the stage I thought he was going to get on the stage and stop dancing and sing along with the group thank you we still talking about how wonderful it was and come and peaceful
I love After 7. I have seen them twice within a year time frame and it's a joy every time to watch. They are energetic and their voices are timeless.
I have loved After 7 for all the years. I was ecstatic to be able to finally see them in concert. My only wish was to be able to witness Melvin, although Kevon is my fave ❤❤. Continued love and comfort to the family. I loved loved to able to hear Melvin's talking voice on the last album. I would see After 7 again and again. I'm still flying high and still watch the footage from their concert I attended in Country Club Hills, IL. Peace and Love guys!!!
All artists, Lavelle, Kenny Lattimore and After 7 were great! It was a good night out. One of the few places I will go for a concert.

5 STARS. It was bitter-sweet not to see and hear Melvin, but the new guy did not disappoint. I appreciated the moment when they acknowledged Melvin...much ❤️. I also appreciated that they went into the audience so those in the back could get an upclose experience. They were really attentive and engaged with the audience and their voices...the harmonies...WOW! The fact they're all handsome doesn't hurt. I did not have any negative experience with this show. I truly enjoyed it and left wanting more (shouldn't have so many great songs...haha) Thank you AFTER 7. See you next time. Who knew they could dance! Lol.

This was a great show everything a show should have! I would come to see them whenever that come back to the Birchmere.
I was very disappointed with After 7 concert at the Birchmere. The show started late with the opening act being the local weather lady, trying to be a standup comedian. Kevon and the others sang pretty good but they sang too many other artists songs then their own. The tribute to Melvin was nice. It was like watching New Edition’s older brothers with their dance moves. Grow up guys, you’re not 20 year olds. Then there was an intermission followed by a QA session (this was weird) along with the weather lady again. Long story short, I was very disappointed and will not waste my time or money again.

After 7 stepped up their game with their choreography and interaction with the crowd. They were so much fun. Their tribute to Melvin was so heartfelt and warm. Loved it!! Their voices are OUTSTANDING, didn't miss a beat! See them next time xoxox!
The setting was very romantic but to purchase the tickets it should not be that hard
