Extreme alt-rock outfit AFI, short for A Fire Inside, continue to keep their punk rock spirit alive after more than two decades together. The four-piece California band, impressively composed of the same lineup since 1998, has revitalized hardcore punk ever since their 1991 beginning, though the crew didn’t see mainstream success until their 2003 platinum-selling “Sing the Sorrow.”
Since that time, AFI has satiated ticket holders at amped up concerts nationwide, either on their own headlining runs or as part of the Vans Warped Tour on several occasions.
After a four-year recording hiatus, AFI unveiled its ninth studio set, “Burials,” in October 2013. The collection, produced by Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World), peaked at No. 9 on The Billboard 200. Some tracks on the Republic Records release (“17 Crimes” and “I Hope You Suffer” for example) lean more toward hard rock than horror punk or goth-punk, both labels AFI’s received with past work.

I love AFI, I've seen them 5x, they never disappoint. So much more for the ticket price.
My fourth time seeing AFI live and they are always incredible. They played a great mix off of new and old albums. The Tabernacle in Atlanta was an awesome venue as well.
They were incredible!! They played songs I never thought I'd hear live in my life!! Anyone who even remotely enjoys they're music should go!! You won't be disappointed!
Really good show! Citizen and Circa Survive we're really good and had great energy. I hadn't listened to them before, but I will have to check their music out now. AFI was awesome and it was nice to see the connection they have with one another while they were trying to decide on which songs they wanted to play next. I've never really seen that kind of "spur of the moment" show where a band doesn't have a set song list, so it made it fun. They played songs from many albums so everyone got a bit of each. It would have liked to hear the"The Leaving Song Part II" and Prelude 12/21, but those are just some of favs, lol. Who knows, they might play those songs at your show! Overall really great show and the angsty teen in me got to hear songs I liked 11+ years ago.
This is my 4th AFI show, and until you experience one you just can't understand how epic it is. The energy from the band and the crowd is incredible, and this show was no exception. One of the best times I've had in a while.
Citizen the opening band was a great act; only to be dulled by obnoxious 30 year olds loudly gabbing, groping, and drinking. I get it, you're still goth and can't move onto modern day music. But don't be mean to the kids who come pay $40 to see the opening band just because you think you have a good spot.
I have loved AFI for a long time. I took my 2 teenagers and they LOVED it. My youngest middle name was VERY close to being Havok. I see AFI everytime they come, they never disappoint.
Great concert. Circa survive was energetic but I didn't know their music. Would have loved more AFI songs.
This was the second time I'd seen AFI this year and it was incredible. The venue was nice. The energy was tangible. And the show itself was unforgettable. If AFI comes back to the area, you can be sure I will be in the crowd.
AFI was my favorite band growing up. I haven't seen them perform in 11 years and they did not disappoint!
It was great energy. I loved learning about Citizen and they're music. AFI was perfect of course.
This was my first concert ever and it was amazing. So glad I went.
AFI always puts on an amazing show, and this time was no different. The venue itself was great- intimate but well organized.
Fantastic show and the openers Souvenirs were awesome too.
a great mix of songs from several albums, after wanting to see AFI live for well over a decade i was very pleased with the performance when it finally happened- and cant wait to see them return! Davey and the guys have an incredible stage presence! THANK YOU for coming to PITTSBURGH!
This is my third time seeing AFI, and they still managed to blow me away with their performance. Such a fun show!
This was my first time seeing AFI and they did not disappoint. The energy was high from the start and never dissipated. The setlist was great, with a couple deep cuts thrown in. Davey stopped the show when a fan got injured. He waited until help arrived, made sure the fan was ok, then continued the song without missing a beat. All in all, I had an awesome time.
This was one of the best shows I have ever been too. I have been waiting to see AFI for way way too long. Would definitely see then a few more time!!!
A fantastic concert! At one point the music was too loud, preventing the audience from hearing Davey's vocals well. This has been an issue at previous concerts at this venue. The lights were also amazing.
