Extreme alt-rock outfit AFI, short for A Fire Inside, continue to keep their punk rock spirit alive after more than two decades together. The four-piece California band, impressively composed of the same lineup since 1998, has revitalized hardcore punk ever since their 1991 beginning, though the crew didn’t see mainstream success until their 2003 platinum-selling “Sing the Sorrow.”
Since that time, AFI has satiated ticket holders at amped up concerts nationwide, either on their own headlining runs or as part of the Vans Warped Tour on several occasions.
After a four-year recording hiatus, AFI unveiled its ninth studio set, “Burials,” in October 2013. The collection, produced by Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World), peaked at No. 9 on The Billboard 200. Some tracks on the Republic Records release (“17 Crimes” and “I Hope You Suffer” for example) lean more toward hard rock than horror punk or goth-punk, both labels AFI’s received with past work.

It's AFI. Of course it was amazing. Through our bleeding we are one.
AFI was superb, however the two opening acts were absolutely atrocious.
I saw AFI in ATL and it was a dream come true for me. I have waited so long to be able to see them. So much energy from the band and the crowd. Hearing the crowd belting out the lyrics with Davey will forever be tattooed on my memory. They played as much of their old songs as they did the new ones. The venue was very up close and personal. I will definitely be seeing them again the next chance I get.
One of the best concerts I have been to in a long time! I would go next Saturday in Nashville if it weren't for working. The show was that great!
Never was a huge fan of AFI. Went to the show hoping to change that. Still not the biggest fan but the show, as well as the venue, were awesome!
AFI was amazing (but what was with those opening acts?)
I have seen Davey perform 4 times and this was by far his best performance! As usual, there were plenty of "Oh!s" throughout and his screams were awesome! I was wishing for another concert before I even left.
Absolutely Electric!!!! I remember my first time seeing AFI live like it was yesterday...Myrtle Beach, November 2009, Crash Love Tour. From the moment they came out, i was just blown away. I still get goosebumps thinking about it! But this past Saturday, AFI put on a show of shows!!! The set was awesome...Kill Caustic live had me sooooo amped, as always!! My favorite moment is a toss up between them doing Heart Stops, one of my faves from Burials, and when they came back out and covered the Cure's Just Like Heaven! Simply put...AFI KILLED IT at Center Stage!
There was a total of three bands but AFI was the best.
I have waited for 10+ years to finally see AFI Live. For every show I have missed, this one makes up for it tenfold. It was absolutely amazing. AFI is intense - as is the crowd. If anyone is ever perched on the fence about whether to go - do it. go. spend the money and the time. all of it. Just go.
We have been waiting for AFI to play in our area for a couple of years,so we were really excited to get to see them in a smaller venue. If you go to this venue, you have an assigned seat, but people just sit everywhere and we wound up in someone else's seat, which was kinda confusing. There is also a pit area I. Front of the stage if you're into that kind of thing.
I have wanted to see AFI for a long time now and they did not disappoint. The band put on a great show and his voice is amazing!
great venue, AMAZING SHOW. AFI did not disappoint!
Coming was good even though some drunk dude kept heckling them. Youth Code was awesome too. AFI was epic. Hunter was playing with a fever! That's dedication. Davey was charismatic & captivating. Jade was so great to watch. Adam I could barely see thanks to my shortness, but I could feel the drums in my bones. It's 3 days later and I'm still sore and happy.
AFI was the bomb but the cover bands almost had me running screaming from the venue before AFI even had a chance to go on!... I did find all the spitting each of the bands did a real turnoff!
One of the best AFI shows I've ever been to. Music and vocals were on point as alway!
I have been an AFI fan for 10 + years and i enjoy all of their albums. From Very Proud of Ya to their newest album Burials. This amazing band never dissapoints live. ive been very fortunate to see them twice this year and wish i could see them as many times as possible live! Dont regret it if there is an AFI show near you BUY THE TICKETS ASAP!!!!!!
AFI was fantastic! Davey sounded great. The venue was awesome. I loved this show.
Incredible show, all the bands were great. Nice venue. AFI was dynamic, flawless and passionate. I truly felt like a kid again, singing along to every word. Found free parking close by and a nice Pho restaurant.
