Aerosmith have been one of the most iconic American rock bands for over 50 years. It started with their early ’70s rockstar lifestyle to their late ’80s comeback and sustained mainstream success through the new millennium. Forming in 1970 as a blues-rock group in Boston, Aerosmith released their self-titled debut in 1973. Although the band initially gained traction for their debut single “Dream On,” it wasn’t until their third album, 1975’s Toys in the Attic, that they exploded onto the international scene behind the multi-platinum singles “Sweet Emotion” and “Walk This Way.” The band’s 1987 album Permanent Vacation was positioned as a comeback of sorts, setting the stage for 1989’s Pump, which earned the group their first Grammy award in 1991 for “Janie’s Got a Gun.” In the 1990s, Aerosmith racked up three more Grammys, two chart-topping albums on the Billboard 200 with 1993’s Get a Grip and 1997’s Nine Lives and seven No. 1 singles on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Although their core lineup of Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford has remained relatively unchanged throughout their five-decade career, Aerosmith have managed to reinvent themselves for multiple generations. Across 15 studio releases, Aerosmith have sold over 150 million albums worldwide.

I love Aerosmith. This was my 3rd time seeing them. I realize Tyler was hurt and so were some of the others, but it would have been better to postpone until everyone was back in full form. Instead, they cut the show short and played for only an hour. And the venue and promoter still got their money and we got a subpar performance. Bravo. At least I bought lawn seats and wasn't one of those unfortunate people who paid hundreds of dollars for an hour long concert.
Steven Tyler was obviously recovering from an injury and wasn't at his usually incredible best. The set seemed short, probably as a result of the injuries and swapping out members. It was good, just not up to Aerosmith's high concert standards.
Played barely an hour. didn't play anything close to the best of the archives. No Sweet Emotion? Would love to have stayed at home with my money instead.
Incredible show, Aerosmith is dynamic and fabulous as ever. ZZ Top was pure rock history on stage. Loved, loved, loved it.
