This may be unusual but, I did not see the play. I sent my God-daughter with her friend and her Dad to see it. So it was my recommendation. They left during intermission. They said it was underwhelming; that the acting was somewhat pushed and the production had the feeling of a robust community theatre show. Now, they have seen some Broadway, and her Dad is an actor, and my God-daughter is active in singing and her school plays, so perhaps they set the bar a little high. But for $75 dollars a ticket - I think it should be something more than mediocre. And for them to leave at intermission, after paying $225 for the tickets, I think that speaks for itself. They did say there were many elderly people around them who laughed in the right places and seemed to enjoy themselves, and perhaps the fact that they were out of the house. But unfortunately it seems, for the price, that this production cannot be recommended to sophisticated audiences.
