This show brings so much nostalgia but also something new with the music! These kids are SO talented and it was a joy to watch them on stage! Everyone’s energy was amazing and no one was a weak link! Whoever did the lights at our show though needed some help cause sometimes the spotlight was off it’s mark and we couldn’t see who was singing. This happened multiple times with multiple characters so I don’t think it was the actors.

It was fun to see The Christmas Story: A Musical! I loved seeing the different scenes from the movie depicted in the musical. The songs & the dances were all very good. I especially liked the song & dance about the lamp the dad won as an award. I also liked the song & dance about the BB gun. The set design was very good . All of the actors did a fantastic job!!

  • Poor Quality

by DC Ann Arbor on 11/19/25Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 1 out of 5

Poor quality.....missed mic'd ques, sub par actors, choreography wasn't tight, difficult to hear lines, high prices for community theatre quality.

The show was funny, impressive, very enjoyable! The actors, mostly children, were great singers, excellent dancers and had great material to work with. The tap dance numbers were impressive, esp to "you'll shoot your eye out!"It was a well done adaptation of the movie with all the best highlights included.
