Christmas Carol Has Become and Annual Custom
by blujay63 on 11/30/10Ohio Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5When the curtain goes up on The Nebraska Theater Caravan's A CHRISTMAS CAROL you can hear and feel the audience's excitement. Though the sets are relatively simple, they are elegantly done, and combine with the period costuming to instantly transport the viewer to Dickens' day. The Caravan's insistence on using essentially the same script each year gives the feeling of visiting with an old and dear friend. And the music! I told myself I'd not cry when the ensemble sang SUSANNI, but they broke my resolve (once again.) I'm going to order the CD that is now available, not just for that song...but for all the richly textured arrangements. This show is for the entire family and, for us, has become the only way to begin this blessed season.
