A Christmas Carol Presented by Theatre in the Park Tickets

Great show as always. Looking forward to next year!

This is the fifth year I've seen this and it gets better every year. It has become a Christmas family tradition. I would highly recommend it.

It was the best Christmas Carol we have ever seen. We will see this show each year from now on since it is different each year. Never have we seen such a funny and enjoyable version if this story.

It's been a few years since I seen one but once again Ira David Wood did a tremendous job with the cast. Some current news items are always a blessing thrown in. So much fun to see everyone in the cast having a great time. Just a 5 star performance.

The show was great as usual. The cast was huge and they had Beautiful voices The new additions for this year We're very well done David does not disappoint

We all loved this show! It's enjoyable and fun to see what Ira David Wood's adaption using the past year's events will be! Everyone in show is superb!

This years Christmas carol was a change up from years past, new lamplighter and who could forget uncle si making his way into the show! Overall great job to everyone!

We have seen this show at least five times and this was one of the funniest we have seen. Ira David Wood just keeps making it better and better and the sarcastic references to local and national government issues are hilarious. We are looking to the 40th production. However, I did not like the Duck Dynasty character as the Ghost of Christmas Future.

This was first time seeing this rendition and I'm hooked. Thoroughly recommend and will make it a new Christmas tradition for my family to see every year. The cast and story line was awesome. Keeping it current lets you know each time will be like watching for the first time. David Ira Wood III is a genius and I hate I haven't enjoyed this sooner. BRAVO!!

Every time we see it the story is true, but the "personalization" is fresh and funny! It's a must see annual event!!

I wasn't surprised that it was enjoyable, I was surprised about the content. I had no idea that it was a different spin on the classic that is so well known. It's updated with current events and very timely jokes and I can only imagine the work that is put into it annually to keep it fresh. If you go in expecting the classic or even the musical version written by Alan Menken, then you will be as surprised as my wife and I...hopefully as pleasantly so.

Top notch cast, excellent staging, laugh out loud funny, and truly the highlight of my season! This production has evolved into true broadway quality! The DPAC is the perfect venue for such an extraordinary production! The music played live by the pit orchestra was phenomenal and always right on cue! And the material is always current and fun for all ages! But what I love most is that the true meaning of A Christmas Carol is never lost in the show. Rather, it continues to play a central role and remind us all annually what is really important. Bravo!!

It was great! Took my son and his wife for his birthday, we all enjoyed the evening.

It was certainly not what I expected but is was great. Mr. Woods changes and twists made it a very memorable event and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The voices of everyone involved were great and the comedy added to the show made what I had expected to be a long semi-boring show, very good.

I went to see this because I really love the meaning of the story. Unfortunately the very corny jokes and political comments, although funny under different circumstances, really took away from the story and left me very disappointed. I believe this was more about the star getting lots of "me" time and less about the meaning of Christmas.

This was our 6th time to see. If this does not get you in the Christmas Spirit, Then nothing will.

Ira David Woods III's A Christmas Carol DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center Durham, NC was an AWESOME show was not expecting it to be so funny it was based on the book with alot of current added twists. Laughed so much. All ages will enjoy. We had a group from Grandparents to Teens and everyone enjoyed it!!!!! This is a must see show :)

The performance started out in the tradition of Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol, however, the performance integrated current day politics and references to current day technology into the play. Having the "Duck Dynasty" characters as the Ghost of Christmas Present was confusing considering the other two ghosts were consistent with the original play. Overall, the performance was fun, a bit tedious at time, but a great way to spend 2-1/2 hours with the family. I would not recommend this play for children under the age of 10 as it is difficult for them to maintain their attention with all of the adult humor, political messages, and singing.
