Another great show. Ira David Wood IV did a great job. The tradition will continue for another 41+ years. It always gets me in the sprit.
I'd heard great things about this show but I honestly thought most of the jokes were corny with long drawn out awkward scenes :/ The sets were very nice looking though. I went in with really high expectations and the show simply did not match up. However, I did enjoy at the end the cast singing God Bless America, you can see that this show and our country mean a lot to the family and cast but this was simply not entertaining for me.
This performance was excellent for kids and adults. Fun, energetic, heartwarming. Loved it!!
The play was absolutely awesome and entertaining! My daughters (17 and 11) thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!!
This has become a family Christmas tradition and each year we are surprised and amused by the show. Highly recommend it to everyone!
Excellent. Good for all ages. Feel good show. Enjoyable. Looking forward to next year's performance.
This was our second time seeing the show. We enjoyed seeing it in 2013 so much, we had to go back again! This year we bought front row seats. We love how the show plays on current events, changing it a little from year to year. You can also see how the cast has become one big family. There was even a wedding proposal this year! I would recommend this show to everyone, young and old!!! Guaranteed to see this show again! Love it, love it, love it!!!!
A tradition in my family for many years has been watching the performance of the Christmas Carol. We are new residents of North Carolina and were excited to continue that tradition here. I can say that this was truly the best Christmas Carol that we have seen yet. Both hysterical and heartwarming at the same time! Thank you for making our time so special!
A Christmas Carol is an annual event. This year as in all the past years I wasn't disappointed. Ira David Wood IV is an amazing actor as are the others in the cast. I am disappointed that his father is stepping down but he has an awesome young man stepping into his shoes. I especially enjoy the changes that are made yearly to add something special to the play. I wish Ira David Wood III the best as he goes through the medical issues that he faces and I look forward to 2016. Thanks to all for making my Christmas' a hit each year.
Ira David Wood III and the entire cast are amazing. The wonderful Dickens' tale of A Christmas Carol has never been localized and as entertaining as performed at this event. This is a must see if you are a Carolina native.
This was our first time seeing this show, and now I know why it's been running for 30+ years. The actors are incredible. The content is cleverly written to include current running jokes and personalities. It was very funny, and poignant at the end. We were at the Saturday matinee and saw Ira David Wood IV and he was brilliant - very versatile actor and comedian and his impersonations were hilarious. This show deserves to be a tradition every Christmas - I plan to make it mine.
This was our first visit to see a Christmas Carol on stage. I heard Ira David Wood III speak about it int he radio and it peaked my interest. He said it was not the usual story, but an added spin for what was happening in the world that year. We were very pleasantly surprised. This was A Christmas Carol comedy for 2015, with the integrity of the story firmly in tact. There were many funny references to current culture, TV ads, politicians (these references were great). Laughs for the adults, awe inspiring moments for the children. We are looking forward to returning next year, maybe with our adult children.
This is a must see show. It was amazing. Lots of laughs and very entertaining. My family will go see this again! : =)
Three friends and I went to see A Christmas Carol. It was amazing. I would recommend it to everyone and we all plan to see it again next year.
While this rendition of the Christmas Carol follows the general Dickens' story, much was added resulting in a magnificent entertainment experience that evoked mounds of laughter yet delivered a serious message.
We enjoyed the play as we normally do each year. My children (all teens) look forward to this play every Christmas!! Thanks to the entire cast and especially to Ira David Wood III for continue to do this play--- 41 years!!!
This show is so moving and always so relevant! It is one of Raleigh's best traditions!
I took my two daughters to see Ira David Wood's A Christmas Carol for the first time. It was as absolutely entertaining as I remember from my childhood! His humor, the music, the costumes all make for a captivating experience for the young and the young at heart. It will for certain be a new Christmas tradition for us!
David continues to amaze me each year. As always, I left with a renewed Christmas spirit!
I see a LOT of Broadway shows of which Les Miserables has always been my favorite. I have seen it 4 times. Last year I went to see this show, under the assumption it was the classic A Christmas Carol. Boy, was I mistaken. It quickly became the best, most entertaining show I have ever seen. It is hilarious. Since this was the 41st year, I cannot help but be disappointed I missed 39 years. I do not think there is a person out there that would not be entertained by this original and fresh production.
