  • Loved it!

by Shortcakekh on 12/26/23Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

It was the perfect way to kick off the Christmas weekend. I'm a huge fan of the original A Charlie Brown Christmas and was deeply moved by the live performance interpretation. Simply wonderful!

The event is an awesome family event. My entire family absolutely loved it. Nice way to start our Christmas celebration.

  • Fantastic

by Kemps on 12/26/23Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The show was not what I expected, but it was actually better. Fantastic is the worst words that I can find myself to say

  • A Very Entertaining Show

The Charlie Brown Christmas was very enjoyable and entertaining.

  • What was that?

by RA on 12/26/23Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 1 out of 5

Some how the writer of this show managed to turn a classic 30 minute, tightly written Christmas cartoon into a 90 minute mess. Horrible costumes (so bad the actors had to hold up 8.5 X 11 pictures of the characters they portrayed so the audience could decipher who was who). Long, long songs so the actors could "show off"their acrobatic skills. The portrayal of Snoopy was just so bad. In truth, all the portrayals were so bad. Using adults with horrible costumes to present this story is a bad, bad idea. The most profound scene in the cartoon (Linus telling Charlie Brown what Christmas is all about) was so off base, so poorly performed, ..... I do not have the words to describe how disappointing it was. Just a mess of a show. Wish I had not wasted those hours of my life. and the money I spent taking my family. We all hated it.

  • Great play!

by Rick on 12/26/23Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Great play! Followed the original tv Christmas special pretty darn close. Was wondering how they would adapt a 20 to 30 minute TV special into a substantial "live"version and the players/production pulled it off. Had a few bonus songs. Overall a very enjoyable, rewarding experience!

  • Great Performance

by Jay on 12/26/23Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The performance was able to keep the spirit of the original television show. The performers were terrific and talented. Our family from ages 13 to 63 were all entertained!

  • Joy filled the room

by Christmas Gem on 12/18/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

My family was able to attend this event at ASO. My 7yo son’s eyes sparkled and his laughter rolled as we enjoyed the most delightful performance. The audience was so full Christmas cheer and nostalgic energy. 100% would recommend taking all of your family members and friends!

  • Cute for kids

by Dollface on 12/18/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Charlie Brown was cute for kids. I didn't know what to expect when I bought our tickets so it was interesting through adult eyes. The buying process was easy and the staff, when I had to add a ticket, was great. The chat feature was also helpful when I needed the address to the valet parking. The only thing I wasn't to fond of was that I couldn't print out tickets, only because I don't download a lot of apps on my phone. But I downloaded it, scanned our tickets, and can delete the app.

  • Disappointing show

by Debra on 12/17/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

We love Charlie Brown and thought this show would be a nostalgic Christmas production based on the cartoon. Unfortunately, the opening singing was not very good, the jokes fell flat, and the moving monologue from Linus at the end wasn’t particularly moving (he should have copied the understated cartoon style instead of going for drama). The whole thing was quite disappointing.

  • Uninspired

by Mama on 12/16/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

May have been that it was in Symphony Hall and I was expecting more of the songs associated with the cartoon with a full symphony. To sit through a poorly written stage play was painful. Weak plot. I only stayed til the end because of ticket price; however, a group of about 8 sitting to my left didn’t return after intermission. Same with about 5 in the row in front of me. As I was walking out out a teen was starting to share thoughts with his mom and she whispered don’t say anything until we get in the car. Felt like something that should’ve been free onsite at an elementary school.

  • It was not as expected

by Charlie Brown on 12/16/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

It was ok but definitely not what I was expecting. I was expecting more character type costumes

  • Lucy Stole the Show

by Snoopy Fan on 12/16/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This was a wonderful evening with family. The show was excellent and my 29 year old autistic son loved it. He was very engaged and more interested in this than any other play or show he's been to over the years, and there have been many. His favorite was Lucy and he now has a plush Lucy from the show.

  • Surprisingly adorable

by Gibson on 12/16/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I fully expected to see characatures of the Peanuts gang in mascot-type costumes. It was pleasantly surprising to see actual dancers in performance. Would definitely see it again next year.

  • Charlie Brown

The actors did a wonderful job I just think it swayed from the original story a little to much for me but it still very good.

  • It was okay.

by Enjoy the Show on 12/16/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

The show was live with lots of singing. It had good points in the show with dancing as well. The cast had lots of energy. However, the way the story was carried out was not as captivating as the movie. It seemed it was mostly just song with some skits. In addition, there was almost zero variety as far as ethnicity. In this city it seems almost impossible they could not have had more. I am aware that it’s Charlie Brown..but it’s 2023
