  • Awesome Christmas Show at the Orpheum NOLA

by Howie on 12/6/23Orpheum Theater - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

The Cast was amazing and as always stays true to the Charlie Brown Christmas Show. Loved Act II and the True Christmas Story. You can tell the cast is having fun with this show. Recommend seeing it!!

  • Great Experience!

by NOLALINDA on 12/6/23Orpheum Theater - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

The performances and set props were amazing! The entire show was great from start to finish - there were no parts that we wanted to "fast forward"through. A perfect live theater rendition of A Charlie Brown Christmas. I took my 8yo son and his words when the curtain dropped were "I loved that!"Highly recommend to anyone considering going.

  • Not worth it

by KE on 11/28/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 2 out of 5

Show was meh…. Worst part were our seats. Spent over $200 to sit close, to left of stage. The show set up the band on the left of the stage, which blocked about 50% of the view of the stage. None of us could see what was happening behind the band on that portion of the stage. When buying the seats, there was no indication that there would be an obstructed view. At intermission, we moved to some open seats in the way back of the theater. Very disappointed.

  • Wonderful!

by LenA on 11/27/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

Great singing, dancing and acting. My kids really enjoyed the Snoopy character! My wife and I appreciated the wonderful words of Charles Schultz integrated into a meaningful show for all age groups.

  • A really good presentation

by Bill on 11/27/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

A classic Christmas show . Charlie Brown is confused about Christmas and ends up being the director of the annual Christmas play . Snoopy of course has his own way of showing his Christmas spirit. I would see it again , the next time it comes around.

  • Unique

by Maggie on 11/27/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 3 out of 5

The singing was spot on and beautiful. The music was superb. However, the costumes as beautiful as they were, were not a good match for the play. I had trouble knowing who anyone was. Also, the set was disappointing. It was really nothing. No thought. It was also a little confusing to follow. It seemed they jumped around a lot. Also, would have liked it to end the way it did in the show, not showing the play Charlie Brown directed.

  • Not the experience I expected

by DB on 11/27/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 2 out of 5

I purchased orchestra seats 4 rows from the stage on the right side. The show placed their drum set with piles of gifts in front of it right at the front of the stage. All of the performances were behind the drums. We could not see anything that was happening. My grandsons were having a hard time getting involved in the show because they could not see anything. When purchasing the tickets, it did not state I would have an obstructed view. Very poor set up.

  • Immense Talent, but storyline lacking

by NikkiG on 11/27/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 3 out of 5

I'll start by saying that I don't have any sentimental feelings towards Charlie Brown, nor did I watch it as a kid. It just happened to be a show that I could take my 4 year old to that was local. For that reason it did not hold much interest to myself, husband, or our child. But regardless of having any past with the show, the storyline was really boring. However, the actors were clearly immensely talented. The dancing and the vocals were really top notch. The costumes and set design was pretty good. Overall, I'd say that if you actually like Charlie Brown its worth seeing, otherwise skip.

  • The show exemplified the true meaning of Christmas

by cathy on 11/27/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

We all loved It! A great way to begin Advent and get ready for Christmas! All of the traditional Christmas Carols made the show!! The true meaning of Christmas and keeping Christ at the center was my favorite thing!!

  • A wonderful show

by Michael L on 11/27/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

This show was phenomenal. The production company was able to stretch a half hour TV movie into an enjoyable 90 minute event. It was great to not only watch my child enjoy the production, but also feel the beauty that was this production. I will definitely see this again if possible.

  • Loudness

by Jess on 12/23/22The Stanley - UticaRating: 4 out of 5

The show was adorable, the seats were great, and my nephew had a great time. My only complaint is that parts of the play were ear-piercing loud and screechy. Don't know if it was an issue with the sound level, where our seats were, or the performers themselves...probably a combo of the three. All-in-all, a great time!!

  • Terrible

More like a junior high school performance rather than professionals. Snoopy costume was dreadful.

  • Excellent!

A very fun and enjoyable evening with the Charlie Brown Christmas show!

  • Wonderful show

by Tuxey on 12/7/22Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I loved that the show followed the original Charlie Brown Christmas cartoon. I knew the script word for word! We also loved the extra songs and dancing. My only complaint is I didn't like the casting of Lucy. I felt she over acted and her voice was too high pitch. I get that it is on the stage but she did not fulfill my expectation of Lucy. She did a great job but just not what I expected.

  • Pleasantly surprised

by Deborah on 12/7/22Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Pre reserved parking via Parkwhiz. This was great! Navigation to seating wasn’t bad. Brought granddaughter popcorn and toy priced as expected The actual play was very well done the singing and dancing was great. It keep my 5 year old granddaughter’s attention and that was what it was all about for me

  • Charlie Brown with hair?

by Jim on 12/7/22Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 2 out of 5

Why on earth did the Charlie Brown character have hair? I heard many people around us asking the same question to others they were sitting with. The music and dancing was very good. Actors did a great job with their roles.

  • Pretty Good Show

by Mp on 12/7/22Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

The show was pretty good. Not quite enough entertainment to keep my young kids entertained. The worst part was the venue. Normally, when you go to a show you cannot go in once the show starts. There was a half hour of people coming in after the show started and blocking our view as they stood in the aisle trying to find your seats. Very distracted and upsetting!

  • Mediocre

by LF on 12/7/22Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

This show had very little production value and was boring for little kids. Did not make it past intermission

  • A Charlie Brown Christmas

by Paulie on 12/7/22Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

The Broadway-style Musical Play, A Charlie Brown Christmas is fun for all ages. The audience was composed of Families with Kids and Adults with no Kids at all ! The score is wonderful ! The trio (Keys, String Bass, Drums) were young men who played on stage. The String Man and Piano Man also played Characters in the Peanuts Gang. Singers/Dancers did both singing & dancing with expertise. Paulie is confident you will love the show.

  • I was disappointed.

by Dana on 12/3/22Rating: 2 out of 5

I went expecting something better. The characters were difficult for me to identify so, I’m sure the children were wondering where the characters they are used to seeing were. They could have had Disney style costumes on the main characters to make this more enjoyable. It came across as someone playing a character rather than the character actually performing for the audience.
