About

Critically acclaimed and multi-platinum band Young the Giant returns with their brand new single "Wake Up". The song marks the first glimpse into the group's imminent fifth studio release, American Bollywood. The new material will be released throughout 2022 as a series of four acts titled: Origins, Exile, Battle and Denouement. "Wake Up" is the band's return from the 2018 album Mirror Master which included their single "Superposition" which reached #1 on US Alternative Charts. Young The Giant was established in 2004 and is comprised of Sameer Gadhia (vocals), Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar), Francois Comtois (drums) and Payam Doostzadeh (bass). The band first broke through with their 2010 self-titled debut album, which featured the RIAA-Multi platinum certified hits, "My Body" and "Cough Syrup". This was followed by the release of 2014's Mind Over Matter, which was both a commercial and critical success. Young the Giant continued to brave new themes and sonic landscapes with their wildly adventurous third album, Home of the Strange. The New York Times proclaimed Lead Singer Sameer Gadhia, "one of the great contemporary rock voices." The band has sold out performances at historic venues such as Radio City Music Hall, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, The Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, and more. They have become a festival mainstay at high profile outings such as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Governor's Ball among others.

    Young the Giant ❤️

by GenXGenZ on 11/14/23GLC Live at 20 Monroe - Grand Rapids

Amazing musicality from Young the Giant. Sameer has such positive energy that radiates, transforming the entire audience. We came to the show with great appreciation for the depth of their music and the live experience in a smaller venue where we could be so up close and personal took it to another level!

    Amazing Band, Horrible Opener

by Luke on 9/12/23Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU - San Diego

The whole concert was delayed and instead of keeping the original openers, they got another group without really notifying us so I was pretty disappointed. Young the Giant was pretty good though!

This was my first Young the Giant show, though I have been a fan for years. I was veey impressed with their stage presence and some of the songs off of the new album I had not heard. I will be going to the next convert for sure!

Five stars, as always! I’ve seen YTG 6 or 7 times and each time I’m more in love. It was worth the wait. I feel honored to see Young the Giant each and every time.😊

Young The Giant - I Walked Away On A Cloud!

by Lauri on 9/8/23Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU - San Diego

I bought the tickets to this show to see Milky Chance, the band which was to open for Young The Giant. Due to weather, the show was postponed and Milky Chance was unable to open for them. As my review stated, I walked away from the show on a cloud of love for Young The Giant. It was possibly one of the best musical events I have attended (and I try to see a lot of bands)! I am smitten with Sameer Gahdia as an vocalist, musician, and artist, AND the entire band. I seriously cannot believe was not really aware of this talented, delightful group. I will now follow their every move, and will not miss the opportunity to see them again. Thank you Young The Giant! (I hope you read this review)

Really disappointed Milky Chance was not there.

by Amber on 9/8/23Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU - San Diego

I would have rather been in the rain and seen Milky Chance and YTG than be surprised to see another opening band. It was not what I paid for and I was very disappointed.

I grew up listening to YTG & it was my first time seeming them live & they blew my expectations out of the park. It was such a beautiful cosmic , magically experience. Vocals were marvelous , the band just as amazing. I've been to a lot of shows but nothing beats their performance.

    amazing band live

    by kro on 8/29/23

Young the Giant was just as good live as on their albums. The music was beautiful, the sets were cool, and they put on a great, energetic show. The venue it was at was oversold, so it was really hard to see the band or even find a place to sit that wasn't virtually in the bathroom lines, but that's no fault of the band.

As usual Young the Giant knocked it out of the park!!! Always an amazing show. Definitely missed hearing some of the older songs, but such is the case with bands that have been around for a while. American Bollywood is crazy amazing!!

    by Joana on 8/21/23

So worth seeing Young the Giants Live! Not a venue I would recommend though, but I would go again if it's for Young the Giant. Definitely take a blanket and a jacket because the weather in SF Bay is unpredictable.

    Everything was great minus

    by Tay on 8/21/23

The seating was confusing, I got GA seats for section 6 but when I got there nobody was checking tickets so there was no more room to sit. So I had to ask people to move so it was awkward and not what I thought it would be when I got there. The preformance was awesome

Loved it! Rosa Lin as opening act, incredible voice. Milky Chance totally blew the crowd away, really a great live act. Young the Giant was a complete class act, vocals, music, lights—couldn’t have been better!
