    XJapan

by LeslieNewYorkCity on 10/14/14Madison Square Garden - New York

XJapan at Madison square garden was an amazing show. I'm so glad for Yoshiki and Toshi and the rest of the members for achieving their dream of playing a huge show in the USA. Yoshiki is extremely talented. He played the drums and the piano at the same time. They went from hard rock to classical and kept the attention of the crowd. They had the whole crowd in tears when Yoshiki broke down, asking over and over "Where's Hide?" I can't wait for the new album and world tour!!

My Dream Came True On October 11th 2014!

by MatsuOfficial on 10/14/14Madison Square Garden - New York

I have dreamed of seeing X Japan live for over a decade. I never believed it would actually happen. But then, X played at Madison Square garden, and I was able to go. Just like that, my biggest dream became a reality. Dreams aside, this was the greatest show I have ever seen, and I intend to see every show of X Japan's that I am able to!

X japan has still got it!

by Laughingboy69 on 10/14/14Madison Square Garden - New York

I've always loved x Japan's music, but occasionally with older bands, I'll skip a show out of fear that the band has gotten too old to do justice to their own music. X japan is not one of these bands. Not only did they have the energy to play a 3 hour set, but you could tell that, far from being jaded, they were more excited than ever to be conquering Madison square garden. It truly was a memorable show and I'll definitely see them when they're back in New York. I don't generally go to shows with a lot of lights and pyrotechnics, so I appreciated the novelty of these elements.

X Japan is NOT to be missed!

by LakerZombie on 10/14/14Madison Square Garden - New York

If you're familiar with the Japanese rock band X Japan then you're reading this to find out if seeing them live is everything you've heard of or seen on You Tube. The answer is a resounding yes!! Playing and headlining their first full arena concert in the U.S. after a stint of smaller venues back in 2010 X Japan was welcomed with open arms by hundreds of faithful X Japan fans at Madison Square Garden who like myself would not miss a chance to see them live is it only happens rarely due to their hectic schedules, band issues, and in this instance a rare chance to play state side in a country that they are for the most part relatively unknown in. Rest assured the people who do know them were there in full force. The show started on time with their song Jade and from start to finish the energy and emotion did not let up for a second. Make no mistake this was a full on ROCK show, playing hits from the past as well as some new songs for the upcoming album. By far the best live show in terms of production and execution. Lasers, fireworks, a huge LED screen. It all worked and worked well.

    X JAPAN!

by Kiribelle86 on 10/14/14Madison Square Garden - New York

This was a show I thought I'd only ever dream of seeing. Everything was more spectacular than I could have imagined. I still can't find words to describe it. It hasn't full sunk in that I have seen X Japan live. I've seen my idol, Yoshiki, on stage, doing what only he can. Nothing will ever come close to this show. My expectation bar is now set incredibly high.

Just a perfect show. Technically great, emotionally super. Show recorded for a DVD/BR release soon... great to see all the cameras too :) Sad only that MSG was not sold-out... Worth the 9 hours spent coming from Switzerland :) ++++

This is the best show I've ever been to.

by Ashesbeneaththegrove on 10/14/14Madison Square Garden - New York

X Japan really put on a flawless performance. There wasn't a moment where I was wondering when a song would end, or when they would get along and start another song. An X Japan concert is usually a memorable experience in itself, but seeing them at their full potential at the Madison Square Garden was amazing. The sound was superior, their performance was perfect and even better than recorded. Not many bands can say that they can sound better/the same live than recorded. The crowd was wonderful too, which is worth mentioning because a lot of X Japan songs are based on crowd participation. Some ballads, a lot of the English songs, they all usually have moments where the crowd will sing the chorus or certain words after the vocalist. I felt a bit distant being away from the stage and in a seat but luckily most everyone was standing up and the people next to be were absolutely crazy and awesome. I like to judge a crowd based on how often they start the, "We are?" "X!" chants and the people next to be started it most of the time that there was silence. I was seriously lucky to be sitting next them and not someone who was newer to the band. That being said, I feel someone whose never seen X might have been intimidated by how into it the fans are. But at the same time, the crowd and band were very welcoming, and invited everyone to join in. Considering the amount of talking being done, I wish that members aside from the drummer and vocalist spoke. I know that Pata knows English, and Sugizo may know it, it's likely he does. Aside from that, seriously an evening I won't ever forget. This was my first time at MSG and X Japan's first time performing a full stadium show outside of Japan. They really blew us away. I didn't see one person that was disappointed leave the show. Even my friend that had never heard anything by them said that Yoshiki, who composes almost all of the band's songs, is a musical genius. I want emphasis on my favorite moment: The moment when I really broke free and felt I was actually just one small part of something huge (the crowd) was when they began performing "X". As soon as that song began, everyone began screaming, yelling, headbanging, jumping. All of the tension everyone had waiting to see X Japan for so long released with this is song. This song everyone waits for to hear live, you have to be there to jump in time with the "X!" lyrics, you have to be there to sing and scream along with it.

Best concert I've ever been to

by Adipose14 on 10/14/14Madison Square Garden - New York

I've been a fan of X Japan since I was a teenager and this concert was a dream come true. Loved that they brought their entire Japanese stage show here instead of scalin it down too much.

    X ROCKS USA!

by RoseofPain on 10/14/14Madison Square Garden - New York

This was the best show I have ever seen in my life. It was an honor to be able to attend this groundbreaking performance. X puts on one hell of a show, lights, pyrotechnics, the works! But what matters most is the passion they pour into every note. There was so much love going around at that show, X really loves their fans. Many of us have been supporting them for years. And many of us thought that when they broke up, we would never see them play again. So it is a dream come true to see them together on stage, making beautiful music and rocking hard. The tribute to hide and Taiji was beautiful, it brought the stadium to tears. We know that they were there with us every step of the way. You will not be forgotten - you are rock gods! I hope they come back to America many times, because the American fanbase is strong and getting stronger every day. USA loves X[Japan]! We are X!
