WICKED is a Tony-winning sensation that has been defying gravity and delighting Broadway audiences since 2003. With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, the fantastical prequel to The Wizard of Oz was nominated for 10 Tony Awards after it opened at the Gershwin Theatre in New York City, and won three, including Best Actress for Idina Menzel, who played the original Elphaba. The musical’s first national tour opened in 2005 and ever since, WICKED’s touring production has criss-crossed North America offering theatergoers one short day in the Emerald City filled with magic, music and the ”untold true story of the Witches of Oz.” The second national tour — known as the “Munchkinland Tour” — has been an open-ended production since 2009 and now stars Olivia Valli as Elphaba and Celia Hottenstein as Glinda.

Loved the production! Amazing talent and great show.
Everything was great. The stage show, the costumes and amazing singers. Everyone needs to see this at least once in their life
Great show, Fantastic cast. I always love ❤️ when Wicked comes to Detroit.
This is my first time seeing Wicked and I absolutely loved it. The production value is amazing and the singing was just angelic. I would definitely see again!
The show is spectacular and the theater is beautiful!! Only complaint is that there needs to be more than one merchandise table. Put one up stairs for those that cant afford to sit on the main level
It really was an incredible show. I took two of my girls and one has a fiancé and he loved it too. I also love the opera houses, it’s a beautiful place to see a show.
Need screens for balcony area can’t see faces to really see the show
The set, costumes, and choreography were impressive. Dialog was OK, but the music was awful because mixing left lyrics too often drowned out by the orchestra -- and I was in the third row of the balcony.
This was our second time in two years seeing Wicked. It is one of our top two favorite musicals. This production was even better than the first one we saw. The two main singers were as good as Kristin Chenowith and Idina Minzel. The costumes were great. We enjoyed how colorful they were. There wasn't a bad performance in the whole show. I just wish that other show goers would keep their sreaming and shouting down during the show. It was distracting and uneccessary. If you go to see Wicked, you won't be disappointed.
It was wonderful! I expected to like it, but I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did.
Wicked was amazing! It was my first time seeing it and I loved the story line. Typically in some musicals there are stronger cast members than others, but this was not the case. Every single cast member was amazing!!!! I would see this over and over again!
As always, Wicked delivered a fantastic performance and I already can’t wait to see it the next time it comes to Detroit.
The Detroit Opera House is a must see!!! The show Wicked was fantastic along with the lighting the stage was truly incredible you won’t be disappointed just in awe of the whole experience!!!
One of the best productions I’ve ever seen. Definitely worth seeing.
From ticket purchase to parking to entering the venus everything was super easy. Wicked was an AMAZING show. The cast was superb!!
Amazing Show!! worth the wait my daughter just loved it!!
Being a big Wizard of Oz fan this is must see if you want to know what really happened and how she turned green. I love the finish the see that she got together with a true love, and they lived happily ever after.
Excellent! Impressed with theatrics and great props you only see at a permanent BROADWAY HOUSE! Oh yeah - the acting and songs were outstanding too
Performance defies gravity. Fantastic Broadway performance in a near century old theater in Detroit. Very pleased with their Wicked rendition and all the energy that went into this matinee.
We found close parking (handicapped). The elevator was very helpful! The production was excellent. The singers, the pit and the set were exceptional. Would recommend everyone to go see it!
