About

Styx have endured for over five decades while staying true to their progressive rock sound and theatrical live show. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 1972, Styx have sold over 54 million records worldwide between 17 studio albums, 16 compilations and nine live recordings. Notably, the band released four consecutive RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums between 1977’s The Grand Illusion, 1978’s Pieces of Eight, 1979’s Cornerstone and 1981’s Paradise Theatre, the last of which became their first to top the Billboard 200. Across their career, Styx earned eight Top 10 singles on the Hot 100, including the chart-topping “Babe” as well as “Come Sail Away” “Mr. Roboto” and their 1990 comeback single “Show Me the Way.” Despite several hiatuses and lineup changes, Styx have become one of rock’s most consistent touring acts, hosting nearly 100 live shows every year for over two decades and netting career-best earnings on massive co-headlining tours with REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and Def Leppard. In 2021, Styx released their seventeenth studio album, Crash of the Crown.

Styx at Westbury Music Fair March 2024

by Steven C on 3/31/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

What an awesome show! Styx was in excellent form, as good as ever. And you can’t beat the intimacy of a smaller venue like Westbury Music Fair. To be just feet away from these musical giants was fantastic. I hope Styx visits Long Island again soon!

    Styx Rocks

by Donna on 3/31/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

Concert was terrific. Band engaging and harmonies on point. Not a bad seat in the house. Parking at venue (Flagstar at Westbury) was a nightmare. Waited on line 30 minutes to get into lot, only to be turned away and directed to park outside of venue, in an empty storefront lot, up a hill about a quarter mile away. Cars scrambling for spots. Missed the first song although we arrived 45 minutes before start.

    Great show

by Dave on 3/30/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

Styx was awesome. Everyone in the band was tight and sang well. The parking was a minor annoyance and next show we’ll arrive an hour early. The band sounded awesome!

    Stryx at Westbury

by Kevin Young on 3/30/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

Long show with lots of deep cuts, new material; but they did also play almost all their hits. Better than expected. Energetic and fun!

    Styx Sounded Excellent

by Rich on 3/30/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

Styx once again sounded excellent. They played three old songs that I haven't heard them play in concert before - so that was awesome. Their old stuff is the best.

by Susan H on 3/30/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

Really enjoyed the show in Westbury NY. Styx is my favorite all time classic rock and roll band! My first concert ever and so happy they’re still rocking and rolling! Tommy Shaw is still one of my favorites but the band as a whole was tight and sounded awesome! Bravo, keep on going.

    Styx Still Rocks!

by Brenelle on 3/30/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

They were amazing! The venue is more intimate so they really had a good connection with the crowd who were as excited to be there for this show. Tommy and the boys killed it!

    Amazing

by Frank on 3/30/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

The show was amazing. They sounded great. They played all our favorite songs. The only negative I could come up with is that they had free parking but yet the men were out there taking money for better spots not a good look!

    Styx still rocks

by AL on 3/30/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

Westbury Music Fair is a great venue, even the last seat is good. The stage revolves so you never see the rear of musicians for long. Like many acts that started in the 60s 70s it's hard to find bands with original lineups. the current styx has founding member JT Young on guitar and Tommy Shaw who joined in 1975. The lead singer who replaced Dennis DeYoung over 20 years ago is quite good and has lots of energy. The band came on at 8:10 (showtime 8pm) played for 1 hour took a break of 25 minutes and played for another hour. They did all their popular tunes except for the song 'Babe'. Some fans say Styx is not the same without Dennis DeYoung and I say many older acts tour without original lead singers: Journey, Four Tops, Foreigner, Lovin Spoonful, Santana, Grand Funk, etc and that's what happens after 50 or 60 years.

    great show

by themm20 on 3/30/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

Great show at the Westbury Music fair. Small venue so nicer than the large capacity places Styx kept the fans happy & played their classic hits & mixed in some songs from the newer albums Only negative is getting out of the parking lot as there is only 1 exit. Advise getting there early to park closer to the exit. Great musicians & drummer was awesome. Hope they keep on touring!

    Still sound great

by Cooljoule on 3/30/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

Styx band members still got it! I have seen them a bunch of times and I am never disappointed. It was great to see them in the round at Westbury Music Flagstar Theater. They are amazing musicians and they sounded amazing. The show was sold out and the crowd loved every minute! They played all the songs everyone wanted to hear. They started at sound 8:10pm, there was a 20 minute intermission and ended around 10:35pm.

Styx perfection at a great venue.

by Styx perfection on 3/30/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

Great concert. New bassist was having fun and it was contagious. 2 sets meant most of classics could be played. Good mix of new and old. Long ago I've lost track of how many styx shows I have seen, but this show ranked with the best.

    Great Concert

by JTL on 3/30/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

This was the first time I ever saw “the other STYX”. I had seen Dennis DeYoung’s version a few times and enjoyed his concerts greatly. But I really wanted to see what Tommy Shaw’s version of STYX and I was not disappointed!. They did all the hits, and a lot of songs which I was not familiar with. They all were great. Very glad I got to see them. The Dennis DeYoung “replacement “ was amazing, vocally and musically. Great show.
