Magical and unforgettable event for an amazing organization.
As expected the performances were good. Next year place time lengths on the testimonials. And provide questions to those speaking in advance and remind them to read in advance and be prepared to respond.
Chita & Seth were very entertaining. It was a great relaxed evening. Between the stories and Chita's singing it was well worth the price of admission! A great show all around.
I've seen several shows Chita has been in and own a couple of her recordings and loved her PBS special and have been a fan of hers for years. I've never seen Seth perform live but love his show on Sirius and was excited to get to see both of them together and planned this NYC trip to see the show. Very disappointed and wish I would have gone to a show on Broadway instead of wasiting the time on a train trip into Newark. WHEN Chita sang she was amazing. Unfortunately she only sang five or six songs and the rest of it was spent chatting with Seth in a sitting area on stage or showing old videos clips. She would sing a song and then they would sit down together and chat for 15 to 20 minutes and show old videos of her. And for the few songs she did perform, Seth sang with her on most of them. This show had a lot of potential and Chita was great when she performed. I would have given this five stars if Chita would have performed more songs which is what I bought the ticket for
Listening to Brian Stokes Mitchell will take all your worries away. You don't hear a baritone voice as beautiful as his very often. I was so glad that he sang the last song without a microphone. He didn't need it. The whole evening was warm and mellow--the fun banter between Seth Rudetsky and Mr. Mitchell, and the lovely ballads from Mr. Mitchell. He truly has the best voice on Broadway.
What a pair! Seth Rudetsky and Brian Stokes Mitchell shine. Seth is always fun and Stokes is a national treasure. Nobody can sell a song like Stokes. His voice is glorious and his delivery is perfection.
The music was so wonderful covering every Broadway Show over the last 40 years! Looking forward to seeing Seth Rudetsky this summer in Province Town. I wanted to extend an invitation to him to join me at College Light Opera company this summer to see future Broadway stars.
Fabulously entertaining night with just the right mix of stories and songs! We all know Seth can tickle the ivories and he accompanied Brian Stokes Mitchell on a wonderful trkp down memory lane of his Broadway shows. Stokes sounded amazing. Loved every minute!
A perfect mix of talk and music. Personal anecdotes woven with wonderful songs from across the decades.
This was a night that raised awareness and Money for foster care. Inspiring personal stories and some of Broadway’s best performers thrilled us!
