  • A touching evening with great performances

by Glo on 2/9/20Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I love a benefit performance where not only do you enjoy spectacular entertainment but learn about people's stories and an organization such as you gotta believe that helps older Foster children. This was a great evening and we hope to go again next year

  • Uplifting show with very formidable performers

Terrific entertainment for less than the price of a Broadway show. Seth always puts together a memorable evening, this being jo exception.

  • Fun, Inspiring & Fabulous!

by Janine & Scott on 2/9/20Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

We were moved, amused and delighted. The performers, Seth and his husband, and the people who were generous enough to share their stories of adoption made this an unforgettable, unparalleled experience. We plan to attend next year, and we will be bringing family and friends. A not-to-be missed event!!

  • Rudetsky does it again!

by Mel on 2/9/20Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Town Hall event this year was fabulous! This is a worthwhile cause that isn't talked about as much as it should be. While we were certainly entertained by A listers such as Kelli O'hara and Brian Stokes Mitchell, there were others who told us of the not so pretty stories of growing up in the foster care system. Although this fundraiser was mostly to call attention to older kids aging out and not being able to find foster homes my take away was more needs to be done to keep tabs on some of the foster parents who are in it for the money. Ta'Nika Gibson's story was one such case of cruelty on the part of her foster parents who should never been allowed to take foster children into their home. She came out on top and we heard her story and then were treated to her glorious voice. Ta'Nika sang with Brian Stokes Mitchell, ending the evening on a high note, singing from Ragtime. It was an amazing...or as Seth would say ahmaaaazing, night. I'll be back next year for sure!

Seth’s show was such a perfect blend of getting to know the performers and show off their amazing talent! Seth has a great way of making everyone feel comfortable and is exceptionally funny! I can’t say enough great things about Megan Hilty and Jessie Mueller… So kind, thoughtful, funny and their talent just blows your mind!

  • What a fun evening!

    by C. N. on 12/5/19Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

This was a relaxed evening of great stories, great songs and great fun. Megan Hilty and Jessie Mueller told lots of behind the scenes stories and sang individually and together. Their voices are amazing. Seth Rudetsky moderated and played piano - what an incredible talent.

  • Sorry if You Missed It!

by GML on 12/5/19Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Town Hall concert with Megan Hilty and Jesse Mueller was spectacular. Seth made the entire night one to remember by making the audience feel like they were in his living room with a few stars! His chatter and musical ability combined with the star power of Megan and Jesse were spectacular!

  • Absolutely delightful from first note to last

by Janice on 12/5/19Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Either Jessie Mueller or Meghan Hilty would, by herself, be great to listen to all evening, but together -- and then with Seth Rudinsky's humor added into the mix -- it was an absolutely enchanting evening. The voices, the connection with the audience, the songs that were chosen -- all totaled I could not imagine a more enjoyable evening.

  • Still feeling the aftermath

by Aunt Mimi on 12/5/19Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

What an extraordinary night. I went because I like listening to Seth on Sirius radio and thought it would be a fun evening. I went with my adult daughter and her fiancé. Neither was excited to go, but because I was coming from Long Island, they did me a "favor". After a song by Jessie and one by Megan, we knew this was going to be a great night. But as the evening went on, I had to pinch myself. What I heard were two wonderful voices and with only the piano, and nothing else to muffle their sounds, I was in tears that it was going to come to an end. We all loved it. We loved hearing the stories of how they got to Broadway. WE all wanted more. I could have listening for hours on end. I am 75+ years and have attended musical theatre beginning with Yul Bryner in the King and I. I spent 14 years as a subscriber to Lyric and Lyricists beginning with seeing Yip Harburg in person and the likes of Marilyn and Alan Bergman and Alan Lerner and so many others. They always had great singers and musicians. Yet this evening took my breath away. If traveling from Long Island wasn't so difficult, I would attend all of Seth's performances. And by the way, my daughter and fiance were also "blown away" from the incredible evening. Thank you for a special night. I am betting that my dear husband heard the music from heaven. I have to believe that God gave him the night too, knowing he would have loved to have been there.

  • Beyond good

by Songlover on 12/5/19Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I walked out of that performance feeling privileged to have witnessed a collaborative love fest. The range and artistry of both women were given a chance to soar across a wide spectrum. Their full talents were on display both individually and together. The interviews provided another glimpse into the the people onstage and their very human journeys to success. Seth’s sense of humor, combined with his considerable piano skills, set an intimate tone with the audience and kept the show on pace. The love, respect, and joy for music the two women had for one another was palpable and uplifting, pouring out into the hall in a crescendo of the last duet - stayed with me for days afterward. It’s a performance I’m thankful for having attended.

  • Perfect night

Seth did a wonderful job guiding the night. Megan and Jesse were warm, funny, and endearing. Their talent is amazing and the choice of songs couldn't have been better. I loved it!

  • Seth’s the Best

by MJD on 12/5/19Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

No one does what Seth Rudetsky does. He gets uber talented people to tell fascinating stories about themselves and their careers. You feel as if your eavesdropping on 2 old friends just chatting. That’d be enough for a great evening of entertainment, but Seth also gets them to sing songs that showcase their voices perfectly. He challenges them to do difficult material, to hit a higher note, to thrill him and us. There is no one like Seth. His Town Hall series is a treat, a present to us from the theatre gods.
