The ‘Come Away With Me’ singer will perform three intimate headline dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart in April 2019, as well as five shows in New Zealand. These will be the beguiling pianist and vocalist’s first performances in Australia in six years – and 14 years in New Zealand! Tickets to all dates go on sale on Thursday 29 November via frontiertouring.com/norahjones.
‘She put on a self-assured show that drew from all aspects of her career while finding focus seated at the piano in her sultry, smoky-voiced comfort zone.’ – Philadelphia Inquirer
‘Norah Jones has always mixed jazz, country, folk and rock, but her concert demonstrated that she has become master of them all... Jones ranged with relaxed abandon through a career-spanning set.’ – Seattle Times
‘Jones has become a more relaxed and mature performer... she is masterful at never overplaying, she also has an eclectic bent and knows how to rock out. Norah Jones keeps getting better with age.’ – Los Angeles Daily News
Parking around the Met is not so easy but Nora Jones was perfect
The Met is a great venue for a concert. We will definitely go back. I really like Norah Jones, but I was disappointed in the show itself. We actually left early, which I never do. There was just no energy from the stage. I love Norah Jones’ music, she is super talented and has an amazing voice. I really expected more in person. I will continue to listen to Norah Jones but not live again.
The Met is beautiful, great acoustics, helpful staff, Norah Jones was wondrous but the parking situation is a nightmare. $50-$100 to park is absurdly expensive and getting an Uber/Lyft after the show was chaotic and time consuming.
Incredibly disappointing concert. We left after 90 minutes because she only played one song from her first two (and most popular) albums. Please play what your fans want to hear not your new album to try to get us to buy or download.
I’ve wanted to see Norah Jones for years. Finally on 5/17/24, I got my chance at The Met in Philadelphia. I see a lot of live music and I pay attention to the sound. Norah’s crew got it just right: you could hear the instruments, especially Norah’s piano. Her voice was clear, pitch perfect and beautiful. She played just about all the favorites you would hope to hear, but with different arrangements and in new, exciting ways. This was especially true for “Happy Pills” and “Don’t Know Why”. I look forward to seeing her again.
Nora could sing a news article and it would sound great. What an amazing voice. But she doesn't even notice there is an audience at the concert. She very rarely looks at the audience and other than saying, I love Philadelphia she really doesn't interact.
Too many new songs vs the old - met venue has decent viewing and acoustics and bar facilities
My very expensive box seat had zero visibility of the stage. I could only see in the stage left wing, no performers at all.
Great show, including Emily King. Nora's a singer, not a talker. Nearly non stop performing. The Met in Philly (first visit) was a great venue. Strongly suggest buying parking with Tix. Still had to walk about 6 blocks. Otherwise, you might be driving awhile for street parking. Now that I know the set up, I'd go again
I travel from Chile for this show and all expectatives was surpassed….. security, bar, staff in the theatre, show and performance!! All was amazing and Olivia King & Norah Jones was amazing….i love it
Norah Jones and Emily King both put on great shows. NJ put on a great show. She sang while playing the piano and also sang a bunch of songs while playing an electric guitar as well. She played for about 90 minutes. Would have hoped for more but it was a solid 90 minute set.
Would live to have heard more of Emily. Norah played a long set which was great, but seats at the MGM Fenway are very tight and uncomfortable. Best song was Norah and Emily together! Was a little disappointed that Norah’s “oldies” had been upgraded. They were beautiful the first time she sang them and I would have loved to hear them just that way again.
I saw her preform in Napa. SHE WAS AWSOME!!! Such a sweet soul. She sang all her great songs. She’s a very down to earth and sweet lady. I can’t wait until she comes back. I will definitely her again!!!
Magical night. Norah is not only a soaring songstress but an amazing performance artist with great backup musicians. Opening act was perfectly in sync with entire evening and joined Norah on stage.
She hardly sang well known songs. It also felt like she’s singing the same song over and over again, all songs sounded the same.
Norah Jones, and her band were spectacular! My adoration for her lovely voice grew even greater after finally seeing her live!
I'm giving a four star rating, but not because of Norah. She was fine, maybe three stars at best. Leader Bank Pavillion, formerly Harborlights and many other names over the years, is still a superb place to see a concert. on the water with superb acoustics. Staff is professional and friendly. Very friendly. Concessions are expensive, but of course, this is Boston. What made the night was the superb opening set from Regina Spektor and the relaxing VIP section of the Pavillion. Regina played a tight 50 minute set of 12/13 songs. She covered tons of ground with humor laced with underlying satire. How can you not love a set with song titles like Samson, Baby Jesus, Ballard of a Politician, and Poor Little Rich Boy??? And a tribute to the suffering in the Ukraine. All she needed was a Steinway and a Yamaha and she was in business. No need for supporting band. Constantly smiled at audience. Thanked profusely the audience. Thunderous applause at the end. Will see her live if she returns to Boston easily. Also kudos to the VIP experience. Staff attentive and enthusiastic. Comfortable seats in the lounge. TVs to watch sports and live shows. Awesome. Did not walk away disappointed. As for Norah, the headliner: the good news is that when an artist of her talent is going through the motions, she is still very good. The bad news is that as an audience we don't get top notch. A B- Norah Jones is still better than 95% of artists out there. But we pay for A-/A. Oh well, and so it goes. An off night, but still a fun night for a spectator.
The acts were definitely in the wrong order. Regina Spektor opened up for Norah Jones but it should have been the other way around. Regina put on a far more entertaining show and there were clearly more Regina fans there than Norah fans.
This was my first time at this venue and I loved it. It was clean, well managed and just lovely for a hot summer's night. I wish Norah had played more upbeat kinds of songs or at least allowed her very capable band to riff off her singing. Having said that, I'm still glad I went.
Norah Jones was wonderful, but truth be told I feel the opening act Regina Spektor stole the show!
