    Guys and dolls

by Bert on 9/28/22St. George Theatre - Staten Island

Saw original years ago. Annabel’s performance was as good as if not better. Entire cast equally deserve Praise. Dancing was only place that didn’t keep up with the rest of the performers. Am from Manhattan and Florida and attended on a whim. Very glad I did, and will be looking for future performances. Very professional!!!!!!!!!

    Delightful evening!

by Newsongwalking on 1/14/20Anderson Theatre - Marietta

I didn't know what to expect from a concert version of Guys and Dolls. It was immensely entertaining! The main characters were excellent and the ensemble was stellar! The orchestra was on stage so you could see them play beautifully. The lighting, backdrop screen and sound also added to the show. Everyone in the audience seemed to enjoy the entertainment...they laughed a lot and seemed to have a really fun evening. I would attend another concert version of another show based on the quality of this show.

    ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!

    by Danimarie24601 on 4/7/15Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

If you are a fan of Guys and Dolls, GO SEE IT!! I love Guys and Dolls. It's one of my favorites! The cast was just incredible! The dancers were amazing and had so much energy. The guy playing Sky was incredibly attractive, so ladies, sit as close to the front as possible lol! He pulled the character off perfectly! I was in the second row. Miss Sarah Brown was also incredible. She had a lovely voice, and there were many comedic parts that I have never seen portrayed in that way before, so it was filled with funny parts! I really want to go again now, except I would have to go to a different state.

by MargiePJ on 4/7/15Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

First of all the theatre might be the most beautiful in the US - yes, move over Broadway! The show was excellent. The performances were suburb. This classic was done great justice by this amazing cast of NY Broadway performers. Loved it!

My wife has been wanting to see this show for a long time now and it finally came close and we were able to make it. She loved it so much and if it comes to town again I would say there is a good chance we will be attending.

    Guys and Dolls

by coscos on 4/7/15Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

The play was great, as was the acting. There were very good voices. The only thing I do not like about the Broadway productions company is that whatever play I have seen they manage to stick in half dressed women. I do not feel it adds to the production. Sometimes it is jarring, knowing that the original was not produced that way. I feel it is hurting their attendance rather than helping, for other attendees have mentioned that they are disturbed about this also.

Rockin the Boat ROCKED the theater

by bcoonz on 4/7/15Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

The voices were outstanding. The dancing was great. Comedic timing was spot on. But the highlight of the show was definitely the new energy they put into "Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat". It got the entire theater on its feet. The cast was very engaging with the many kids who waited outside the theater exit. My daughter will never forget them asking her about her school production of Guys & Dolls and signing her playbill. Wonderful memories! Thank you!

    Age Tells it All

by WorthyM on 4/7/15Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

Good lord, since "Guys & Dolls" has been around for 65 years and performed literally tens of thousands of times, one can conclude that something must be good about this show. There was a lot good back in 1950 when it opened on Broadway and that same good stuff endures 65 years later in the TN Theater. Plus the show had excellent production values executed by a band of professionals who knew what they were doing. What else is there to say?

    Great singers!!!!!

by normyrealname on 4/7/15Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

I think everyone in the play was so talented. Matthew Taylor (Sky) has one of the best voices I heard in a long time in a show. Not to mention I fell in love with him as well. Great actor. I also loved Todd Berkich (Nicely). He was wonderful. He sounded like he would have been from that era. Even though she had a short part, I LOVED Jesse Graham (General).I didn't know anything about the play going in, but realized I knew a couple of the songs. The time flew by and it was over too soon. The singing, dancing and acting was great!

    Not a fan

by JamesKnox on 4/7/15Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

I wasn't a fan of this production. The guy playing Sky Masterson was the best actor in the show and the lady playing Miss Adelaide was also very good. The others not so much. The Nathan Detroit character was played like a goofball. The lady playing Sarah Brown was too bland and her voice had no color. The Nicely-Nicely Johnson character was very annoying.

    Great

by MelTn on 4/7/15Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

I did not have overly high expectations before seeing this play. I was greatly surprised!!! It was wonderful. Usually one person in a play will carry most of the weight, but in this one everyone was exceptional. My favorite of all I've seen this year at the Tennessee Theater.
