About

Green Day redefined punk rock in a post-grunge world. Rising from the Bay Area punk scene in 1987, the band released several EPs before coalescing into their long-standing lineup of vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool. The trio shared the independent album Kerplunk in 1991 before releasing their major label debut Dookie in 1994. Behind singles like “Longview,” “Basket Case” and “When I Come Around,” which each topped the Alternative Airplay chart, Dookie reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Dookie earned Green Day three Grammy nominations, including a win for Best Alternative Music Performance, and the album continues to stand as the band’s best-selling release with over 20 million copies sold worldwide. Green Day followed with 1995’s Insomniac and 1997’s Nimrod, with the latter boasting the band’s biggest creative shift with the rare acoustic single, “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” After 2000’s Warning, Green Day spent the next few years developing their first of several ambitious projects, the 2004 punk rock opera American Idiot. The album became Green Day’s first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and it logged two Top 10 singles with “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends.” American Idiot garnered seven Grammy nominations and won two, including Best Rock Album. The band won the Best Rock Album Grammy again with 2009’s concept album 21st Century Breakdown. A stage adaptation of American Idiot debuted on Broadway in 2010 and won two Tony Awards and a Grammy for the cast recording. Furthermore, Green Day were first-ballot inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.

    AHHMAZING

by Alex F on 11/8/21Target Field - Minneapolis

I have missed live music so much and this was the first concert in over a year. I have seen Weezer before and somehow they sounded better this time! Billy Joe Armstrong apparently does not age and Green Day was a first for me and my whole family. Saying we had the best time would be an understatement. Of course my younger self appreciated hearing Fall Out Boy live for the first time. Every single band was fantastic and I hope I am able to see them again someday.

The bands played with such joy, and had an inspiring message. The singing and music was so good--can't believe how great they still are.

One of the BEST concerts I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere of being at AT&T Park mixed with great music was absolute perfection. It was my first concert at this venue and my first time seeing Green Day. 10000/10 would recommend to all my friends.

    AMAZING!!!

    by J. K. on 10/9/21

This was a phenomenal experience! I took my three teens as this was their first concert and they were totally mesmerized. All of the bands at Hella Mega were fantastic, but Green Day was so extraordinary that it’s been over a month and I’m still on a high from it. Worth every penny!

    Good concert but no swag

by No SWAG on 10/6/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

Concerts were great. The Vip entrance was just more if a walk with no great priorty. Wasnt worth the added 7 minutes to get into the venue, would have been faster just going in with people that didn't pay extra. We never received the cool swag we paid for. So why bother paying the extra. That part was a total F$%÷G RIPOFF!!!! Still waiting for the promoters to make it right.

This was an overall FANTASTIC show. All 4 bands were great and were enthusiastic and kept the crowd going at all times. I would highly recommend seeing Weezer, Fallout Boy & especially Green Day when you get a chance. You will not be disappointed. Thanks guys for an excellent evening at Dodger Stadium !!!

Great Show, Nice Venue, Poor vendors

by McGonigle on 9/20/21Dodger Stadium - Los Angeles

The show was great, both in the individual performances of the bands, and the overall setup and presentation. The sound was amazing for the size and type of venue. All of the workers (outside of concession) did a fantastic job in keeping it organized and safe. The fallout came when we tried to wait in line for concessions, and then again for merchandise. Immediately after the first band finished, we rushed to wait in line for drinks. Almost an hour later, we reached the front of the line, missing 5 songs from the second band (Fallout Boy) and realized why the line was so slow. The workers had absolutely no sense of urgency. The 2nd band finished and we rushed to the merch line. Again, almost an hour and 4 missed songs from Green Day, waiting for a line without order and workers without a care in the world. Thanks to those 2 lines, we missed about 25% of the concert trying to spend more money.

    Amazing performances by all.

by Chris on 9/19/21Petco Park - San Diego

I was amazed by the performance of all four bands. I’m a long time Green Day fan and continue to be. Fallout Boy did an amazing energetic performance. Weezer blew my mind and opened my eyes to their true talent. I am a new fan of Weezer since the concert at San Diego, CA. Green Day blew it out of the park with their energy and spot on performance. I look forward to future concerts with these bands. Weeks later and I am still in awe and happy when I reflect on the concert. The people and fans, were all so chill. Best invert I’ve been to in a really long time.

    Amazing!!!

by auditordoc on 9/13/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

Amazing concert! All of the bands played their studio versions of their songs, which I love! And I live how they got the crowd warmed up before Green Day by playing Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. 60,000 people singing along! Only downer was it was at least an hour to get through merch lines and I paid way to much money for tickets to watch the concert from a line!
