About

Def Leppard in Concert

The world is a confusing place, but there's one resounding truth we can all count on: Def Leppard will rock you. Going strong for more than four decades, the British heavy-metal heavyweights are the world's premier torchbearers of the hard-partying, fist-pumping, ear-splitting hard-rock tradition.

With more than 100 million albums sold, dozens of arena-filling world tours under their spiked belts, and an upcoming induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Def Leppard is headbanging as hard as ever — and once again launching themselves into a globe-spanning concert tour.

Def Leppard's longevity is all the more surprising given their debaucherous origins. The band's longest-standing members — singer Joe Elliott, bassist Rick Savage, and drummer Rick Allen — met as teenage secondary-school students in Sheffield, England. They soon found themselves swept up in the late-1970s wave of British metal that included Iron Maiden and Motorhead.

Year after year, No. 1 album after No. 1 album, they've survived all manner of rockstar antics over the course of their career through luck, fortitude, and good choices. When Allen lost his left arm after crashing his Corvette in 1984, the band never considered replacing him. After joining the band during the recording of 1982's Pyromania, guitarist Phil Collen quit booze, went vegetarian, and began studying martial arts. Today, at 61 years old, he gives a new definition to the term "dad bod" (dude is ripped). The final puzzle piece, Vivian Campbell, signed on after the 1994 death of original guitarist Steve Clark. This current lineup has endured together for a quarter of a century, longer than the entire lifespan of lesser bands.

As seen throughout 2018's 30th-anniversary tour, the members of Def Leppard remain in peak form and the band is a live-performance powerhouse. Summer of 2019 sees them embarking on a tour through Canada, England, and Northern Europe. If you ever needed affirmation about the life-preserving properties of rock 'n' roll, this is it.

The world's most iconic and celebrated rock legends hit the road in the summer of 2020 for a coheadlining tour so massive that it could only be held in America's biggest stadiums. The Stadium Tour featuring Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, with Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts hit select cities in the U.S. where each band brings their electrifying stage shows while promising to perform their stadium sized anthems.

Def Leppard on Tour

2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Def Leppard are one of the most important forces in rock music. In 2019, the icons closed out a sold-out worldwide tour including a North American stadium run & headlining the UK's Download Festival to 90k screaming fans. Def Leppard's star continues to rise and prevail. The band have amassed a staggering 2.5 billion streams since releasing their music digitally in 2018. Def Leppard's influential career crosses generations and includes numerous hit singles and ground-breaking multi-platinum albums—including two of the best-selling albums of all time, Pyromania and Hysteria, both of which are certified Diamond (10x platinum).

    Fun Show, but...

    by Hineyman on 8/23/23

Even though the tickets I reserved and paid for were NOT the seats that we were assigned, (must be why every time I tried to access my order, I got the message Site down for maintenance) the show itself was a great show. I paid way too much for the seats we got. It will have to be someone I REALLY want to see before I will (or will attempt) use the Ticketmaster platform!!!

    Great show questionable venue

    by Don on 8/23/23

All bands were great, didn’t get to see much of Alice Cooper due to the fact he went on stage 15 minutes after the doors opened. Stadium seemed undersized for the caliber of bands performing, OU’s EK Gaylord stadium in Norman would have been my pick.

I was there to see Def Leppard specifically and they did not disappoint! Alice Cooper and Motley Crüe were great as well! 🖤🤘🏼

    by Jamie on 8/23/23

I’m truly not sure how many times I’ve seen Def Leopard in concert, but this show was so amazing. These guys deserve to go down as one of the greatest.

    Hot sweaty topic

    by Lisa on 8/22/23

I must say with the venue being outside in a football stadium in the month of August was brutal. However, Alice Cooper and Motley Crue were awesome. When Def Leopard came on stage I was excited to see them. I have never been so disappointed in a performance in a band so highly rated. My husband and I left after the 4th song. Perhaps they were having an off night. The bottom line is I would go see Alice Cooper and Motley Crue anytime but never again Def Leopard.

    ONCE IN A LIFETIME MOMENT!

    by SunnyD1 on 8/22/23

This was truly a ONCE IN A LIFETIME moment. I can't even begin to express the wonderful experience being there that night . Def Leppard has been my all time fav band since I was a teenager. I can remember every memory, every song they play, brings rushing to the forefront of my mind. They sound just as good now as they did the last time I saw them in concert in Tulsa back in the 80's on their Hysteria tour. I've seen Motley Crue several times as a teenager here in Tulsa at different venues and they are still as awesome as I remember them being, as a teenager that loved rock n roll the way they played and sang. I was with two of my besties and we never sat down the whole time they were o stage. We sang every word to all the songs just like it was yesterday hearing them on the radio all the time. I will never forget for as long as I'm alive, the pure joy I felt being there, to hear my favorite band play. Thank you for coming to our town and rocking the night out!

    3rd Row

by $22 beer and water on 8/21/23

Tulsa stadium was a surprising good venue. But concessions were not. I paid $22 for 1 beer and 1 water, then my "bartender"complained that I didn't give her a tip.

    Great Concert

    by Paul 61 on 8/21/23

The concert was greatness as usual. First time seeing Alice Cooper and did not disappoint and Motley Crue was really good. Don't know a whole lot of their music but did a really good show. Def Leppard was awesome as usual. Our 7th time to see them over the years. The venue was a great place for an outdoor concert. Would definitely go back there again.

    Access

    by ES on 8/21/23

Could not access the app or the website once we got to the area for the concert. Was a nightmare. I had to get a ride and drive 3 miles down the road. It was my fault for not downloading the tickets sooner. Apple wallet is now required? All of this would have been great information for you to include in one of the ten reminder e-mails I received. Lesson learned.

VIP premium tickets not what they say

    by Bgera on 8/21/23

I purchased 2 tickets to Def Leppard & Motley Crue world tour back on Dec 2022 for the Tulsa show which where for premium package $709.50 supposedly to include this listed: Def Leppard Premium Package: • One Reserved ticket in the first 20 rows (distributed day of show). • Def Leppard merch (exclusive to VIP packages). • Crowd-free merch shopping opportunity. • Commemorative Def Leppard meet & greet laminate. • VIP entrance. • On-site VIP host. Very frustrating thinking you purchase a package to include meet and greet to be told you must leave !! No one can answer questions and rude as hell when asked to explain what you have in front of them to provide what you have paid for!!!! VIP is not always VIP!!!! Beware of what you purchase and hire people who want to be polite to help in situations of understanding how much people are spending and what we might be going thru the night of the event!!!!!

    Surprisingly great venue Motley/ Def/Alice

    by Concert Guru on 8/20/23

Attended first ever stadium concert at Tulsa University. Warm in August but we prepared for it. This tour has a very large stage and not a bad seat in the place. All three bands were highly entertaining and each made an effort to connect with Tulsa. This was a must to attend in Tulsa. Parking was ok but many other options to get there and home. Plenty of vendors selling good and drink while some ran out of food after band #2. Plenty of restrooms but older stadium style facilities. Hope Tulsa University brings in more talent like these three iconic groups. Close competition but MC’s Mr Five was the best talent guitar. Def’s drummer is outstanding as ever. Mr Cooper is a showman along with his trademark vocal talent. Those that missed this concert started their regrets the day after.

Cooper, Crue, and Def Leppard, Tulsa 2023. The most rocking, energized concert in the history of concerts. Rock on!

    Good concert

    by TRex on 8/20/23

Bands were as expected. They are getting older 😉. The venue was a simple college stadium with bench seats and the view from the lower end zone seating was partially obscured by the sound tent and equipment. Loved seeing Alice Cooper live. He's still a great showman.

    Def Leppard

    by Char on 8/20/23

Joe Elliot's voice has never been better - the band rocked it out of the stadium - everyone was up and singing along.
