About

Def Leppard in Concert

The world is a confusing place, but there's one resounding truth we can all count on: Def Leppard will rock you. Going strong for more than four decades, the British heavy-metal heavyweights are the world's premier torchbearers of the hard-partying, fist-pumping, ear-splitting hard-rock tradition.

With more than 100 million albums sold, dozens of arena-filling world tours under their spiked belts, and an upcoming induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Def Leppard is headbanging as hard as ever — and once again launching themselves into a globe-spanning concert tour.

Def Leppard's longevity is all the more surprising given their debaucherous origins. The band's longest-standing members — singer Joe Elliott, bassist Rick Savage, and drummer Rick Allen — met as teenage secondary-school students in Sheffield, England. They soon found themselves swept up in the late-1970s wave of British metal that included Iron Maiden and Motorhead.

Year after year, No. 1 album after No. 1 album, they've survived all manner of rockstar antics over the course of their career through luck, fortitude, and good choices. When Allen lost his left arm after crashing his Corvette in 1984, the band never considered replacing him. After joining the band during the recording of 1982's Pyromania, guitarist Phil Collen quit booze, went vegetarian, and began studying martial arts. Today, at 61 years old, he gives a new definition to the term "dad bod" (dude is ripped). The final puzzle piece, Vivian Campbell, signed on after the 1994 death of original guitarist Steve Clark. This current lineup has endured together for a quarter of a century, longer than the entire lifespan of lesser bands.

As seen throughout 2018's 30th-anniversary tour, the members of Def Leppard remain in peak form and the band is a live-performance powerhouse. Summer of 2019 sees them embarking on a tour through Canada, England, and Northern Europe. If you ever needed affirmation about the life-preserving properties of rock 'n' roll, this is it.

The world's most iconic and celebrated rock legends hit the road in the summer of 2020 for a coheadlining tour so massive that it could only be held in America's biggest stadiums. The Stadium Tour featuring Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, with Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts hit select cities in the U.S. where each band brings their electrifying stage shows while promising to perform their stadium sized anthems.

Def Leppard on Tour

2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Def Leppard are one of the most important forces in rock music. In 2019, the icons closed out a sold-out worldwide tour including a North American stadium run & headlining the UK's Download Festival to 90k screaming fans. Def Leppard's star continues to rise and prevail. The band have amassed a staggering 2.5 billion streams since releasing their music digitally in 2018. Def Leppard's influential career crosses generations and includes numerous hit singles and ground-breaking multi-platinum albums—including two of the best-selling albums of all time, Pyromania and Hysteria, both of which are certified Diamond (10x platinum).

    Great show.

I preferred the Motley Crue set, but Def Leppard was still great. Stage show was good and audio was great also.

    Great show, terrible venue

    by Steve on 8/20/23

Def Leppard put on a great show! Their sound was spot on. The venue left a lot to be desired. There parking situation was a complete nightmare. They sold pre-order parking spot for $50 a piece. Then, when you showed up, they weren't available. They then re-routed us to an accessory lot a mile away! The facility itself was adequate, though obviously an older and dated football stadium. Will probably not attend anything else musical at this venue.

    Cool tunes

    by She-Ra on 8/20/23

The concert was great, all my favorite music! The venue was not, parking and traffic was terrible. Getting up and down from the floor to the bathrooms was almost impossible, and the lines and crowds by the bathrooms were awful.

    Amazing

    by Abby B on 8/20/23

Def Leppard put on one of the best shows I have ever seen. They may be getting old but they’ve still got it as far as how they sound goes! Getting to see them perform live was my childhood dream come true. I grew up listening to classic rock because of my dad so it was an amazing experience.

    Epic!

    by TammyLee on 8/20/23

This concert was one for the books! The outdoor venue was great and the band's really brought their A game. I felt like Motley Crue has stepped it up since the performance I saw last year at Dallas. And Def Leppard, while I miss Mick, did an outstanding job! I swear they are getting better with age!! We had a fabulous time and will definately see them ANY time they are in our vicinity.

    Outstanding show and venue

    by Ashley on 8/20/23

All bands where awesome, not a bad seat in the house. Had I known that I'd opted for lesser priced ones . Food and drink prices RIDICULOUS. It really would be hard to treat your family to snacks and or drinks . Really makes it tough on your average person. If I can buy the same drink at a convenience store for $3 you can sell it for double that but not 5 times it's cost .

    Def Leppard was awesome!

    by Gil on 8/20/23

Def Leppard sounded as good as they did years ago! Absolutely loved it. Only problem I had was with the people in charge of parking at the event. They tried to direct traffic, but made things worse. They stood in front of my truck and would not move so I could pull out and leave after the concert, they were extremely ride, tried cussing me out, and gave me the bird. If TU is going to host future events, I suggest they train their staff.

This was my second time experiencing Def Leppard live in concert and it was even better than the first time. They always know how to put on a show. I loved being able to hear some of their new music being performed live as well! Super excited to see them again if they come back to Tulsa!

    Seating

    by Melanie on 8/19/23

The concert was great but the seating was not. They were bleachers due to it being a football stadium. The benches were numbered on top To indicate your seat. My husband and I got there and people were sitting in our numbered area. The two ladies who were there were so overweight that they were taking up several areas. We went to the attendant so she could help. She gave no solution or help. My husband and I sat in a random area and hoped that nobody would come to claim the seats. I paid over $400 for our seats but wasn’t able to sit there.
