Dave Matthews Band in Concert

With a career spanning more than 27 years, Dave Matthews Band is one of the most influential bands in rock history. In 1991, vocalist/guitarist Dave Matthews decided to put some songs he had written on tape and sought the assistance of drummer Carter Beauford and saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who were both accomplished jazz musicians in the local Charlottesville, VA music scene. 16-year-old bassist Stefan Lessard came on board shortly thereafter. Their infectious, distinctive sound garnered lots of early attention and a die-hard loyal fan base, catapulting the band into one of the most successful touring acts of the past three decades.

The group has since released nine studio albums and numerous live recordings, selling a collective 38 million CDs and DVDs combined since the 1994 release of its major label debut, Under the Table and Dreaming. The GRAMMY®-winning band's many hits include "What Would You Say," "Crash Into Me," "Too Much," "Everyday," "American Baby," "Funny The Way It Is," "Mercy" and "Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin)."

Founding member LeRoi Moore passed away in August of 2008 and the band paid tribute to him with 2009's Platinum-certified Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King. Dave Matthews Band has since welcomed longtime collaborators/touring musicians Jeff Coffin (saxophone), Rashawn Ross (horns) and Tim Reynolds (guitar) into the lineup and - most recently - keyboardist Buddy Strong.

With 2018's Come Tomorrow, Dave Matthews Band became the first group in history to have seven consecutive studio albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In a Critic's Pick review, The New York Times observed, "willed optimism fills the songs on 'Come Tomorrow,' while cynicism and irony are nowhere within earshot... each song notes the fears and sorrows it's determined to overcome. The music does that, with consolation in its melodies and a life force in its rhythms."

Renowned for their live performances, Dave Matthews Band has sold over 24 million tickets since its inception and ranked as the biggest ticket seller worldwide of the past decade. The group's Bama Works Fund, established in 1999, has raised more than $52 million dollars for humanitarian and environmental initiatives.

    Fix the sound system!

by OG on 6/1/24Daily's Place - Jacksonville

Love Dave Matthews but you could barely make out the lyrics. They should have seriously done some sound checks before the event started. Dave’s mic was too low and muffled and music was too high.

    I came to hear DMB

by Mv on 6/1/24Daily's Place - Jacksonville

The venue was very well organized and efficient. The moment the band walked out, everyone stood and continued to stand most of the concert, although we had seats. So to see the band, one had to stand most of the time. And I came to hear Dave sing but mostly it was the crowd belting out the songs. The band was great but the sound was a bit muddy, probably due to the outdoor nature of the venue.

Love the venue, love taking a water taxi to the shows. All was convenient and the shows were both great. N2 was almost a perfect show. They always keep me coming back for more

There was nothing but great things about both nights. It was easy to enter the venue, find my seats and get through the concessions. The venue staff was super friendly and helpful.

    The Disappointment

by Bob C on 5/31/24Daily's Place - Jacksonville

My recent concert experience was frustrating because where I sat the sound was muffled the whole night.

    DMB summer tour 2024

by Nolzfan91 on 5/29/24MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

What a way to start the summer tour 2024! Fantastic set list, great vibe from the band. There were a few songs that I would have liked to have heard, but all in all it was a good show.

    A little surprised

    by VoiceVocalFolds on 5/28/24

Honestly the instrumentals were overbearing and drowned out Dave’s voice many times. In addition, during Dancing Nancies, my ears were hurting from the horn player trying to hit the violin notes . Seriously one of the sad things was no violinist which was the one of the best parts of the band! As a violinist myself I would have appreciated that balance in the music. I have followed Dave since college in 1994. I will say his nasal higher pitches were in tune but everything else was difficult to appreciate from instruments overpowering him . Bring back the VIOLIN and change the sound engineer!

    Amazing, per usual!

by Brittany K on 5/28/24iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre - West Palm Beach

It was the first time that I heard the band play The Dreaming Tree, and my heart fluttered and felt so BIG! It is a beautifully written song and there is no other song like it, so it is very special and means the world to me. It reminds me of one of my childhood favorites, a book by Shel Siverstein called The Giving Tree. We were on a rain delay but the band always finds a way to make every performance a little different and a tad special. Until next year...

Two great nights of awesome music!

by John R on 5/28/24iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre - West Palm Beach

DMB was fantastic as always. Their sound just keeps getting better with each passing year. Dave and the Band really showed how much they care for their fans when they played well past 11pm on Saturday night after a weather advisory forced a break in the concert. In nearly 50 yrs of concert going, I have never seen a band play past 11pm. Absolute class act! DMB FOREVER!

    2 absolutely amazing shows

by Pablo Reigada on 5/28/24iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre - West Palm Beach

Dave Matthews Band isn’t only one of the greatest bands of history, they are becoming my favorite band, and to someone who used to like more Hard Rock and Heavy Metal , the mix of everything that DMB shows is something incredibly amazing. Doesn’t matter how many times they came to South Florida, I’ll be there in every single concert.

DMB is perfect. LiveNation venue is poorly operated.

by Steve on 5/28/24iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre - West Palm Beach

LiveNation operated venue made us evacuate to our vehicles for weather, fine. Zero communication or direction about where to receive updates for a promised return. Also kept the outdoor bars open just so you get a sense for the “safety priorities.” Complete chaos as if no protocol exists for weather. In South Florida. For an outdoor amphitheater. Incompetently run.
