About

David Mason is an English musician, singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Worcester, who first found fame with the rock band Traffic. In his long career, Mason has played and recorded with many of the era's most notable musicians including Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Mama Cass Elliot. Mason's best known song is "Feelin' Alright" recorded by Traffic in 1968 and covered by dozens of artists, including Joe Cocker, who had a major hit with the song in 1969. For Traffic, he also wrote "Hole in My Shoe" a kind of psychedelic satire that became a classic in its own right. "We Just Disagree" Mason's 1977 solo hit written by Jim Krueger, has become a staple of Oldies and Adult Contemporary radio playlists.

Both Jefferson Starship and Dave Mason were great. The venue does not have a bad seat in it. Sixth concert we have seen here and all were fantastic

Dave Mason was awesome!! First time at the Factory, very nice venue. Easy to get to. Maybe could have had a few more people directing traffic out .

    Worst concert we’ve seen

by Cher on 4/8/24The Factory - St. Louis

We were looking forward to seeing Dave Mason. Such a disappointment!! When you get to the point you have to sit and allow the band to do most of the singing it’s time to hang it up. He came out looking like a numb! People started leaving more than half way through the show. I’d love to have my money back.

Not as good as I hoped

    by Steve on 4/8/24

Love The Factory. Such a great venue. This is the 4th time I have seen Dave Mason, and this performance (4/5/24) came in 4th place of the 4. I understand our Classic Rock performers are aging, and Dave appears to have lost his fastball a bit. And he IS 77, so I get it. Don't get me wrong, he is still a quality player and singer, but compared to even the show he did at River City Casino a few years ago, this show was not as good. I have never seen him rely on others to carry so much of the lead singing weight as this show. More power to him though, and I still have mad respect for him and what he has accomplished, I just wouldn't recommend his live performance anymore.

    Great Concert, Excellent Venue

by HWD3 on 4/8/24The Factory - St. Louis

First time at the Factory and am very impressed. This is state of the art concert venue. Comfort, amenities, sound system and acoustics are all excellent. Dave Mason was great, although he only played an hour and 20 minutes. I'm guessing he wasn't feeling well because concert started late.

    Great, great experience...

It was like a blast from the past. Didn't expect as many songs from Traffic, Spencer Davis, or Blind Faith let alone his solo stuff. Well done Dave...

Dave Mason still has it. His voice is incredible and his music takes me right back to the 70’s. Awesome band!

    Spectacular!

by Jen on 4/7/24Brown County Music Center - Nashville

Dave Mason and his Traffic Jam is one of the best groups I've seen. Each musician could stand on his own as a headliner, they are all that good. Dave's voice has lost nothing in the 60 years he's been performing, and each note sounded effortless. I rarely leave a concert wishing i could quit my regular life and follow the group, but I found myself checking his schedule and wondering how I could make it happen.

    Great music!

by Jc on 4/7/24Brown County Music Center - Nashville

I attended the Nashville Indiana show, and was well entertained by the classic Rock n’ Roll. I am in my 20s and enjoy the music from that period more than today’s music. Thanks again for the awesome show!

    Excellent show

by RickS on 4/7/24Brown County Music Center - Nashville

Both bands sounded excellent. Loved hearing the songs not on the radio often. Dave Mason can still rock that Strat at 77! The venue is very nice, still not happy when someone in front of me, decides to stand and dance for two or three songs, blocking my view. I paid for a seat to see the bands, not some half drunk girl trying to impress the guys.
