Blackberry Smoke on Tour
Though they've had their biggest success in the country market, the guys in Blackberry Smoke are rock 'n' rollers at heart. When they hit the concert stage, that becomes immediately apparent, but of course, so does the twangy side of their sound. Ultimately, what comes across is a roots-rocking blend that incorporates the influences of classic Southern rock, '70s/'80s heartland rockers and yes, a dash of modern country. And whether they're delivering a chugging good-time tune like "Rock and Roll Again" or a reflective ballad like "Let Me Down Easy," what comes through the loudest is the band's authenticity. These ol' boys are the real deal, playing it their own way with no nonsense and no rock-star moves. And since they do exactly what they feel, don't be surprised if that extends to covers of songs by their favorite artists such as Little Feat, The Grateful Dead or Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Blackberry Smoke in Concert
Blackberry Smoke has always done things their own way, rising to stardom by building an audience from the ground up, remaining resolutely independent and staying true to their roots. The band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2000, with singer/guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist Paul Jackson, and brothers Richard and Brit Turner on bass and drums, respectively, and that lineup remained intact into their breakthrough and beyond, adding keyboardist Brandon Still in 2009. They released their debut album, Bad Luck Ain't No Crime, in 2003, but it wasn't until their third album, 2012's The Whippoorwill, that Blackberry Smoke started achieving major commercial traction. Their next record, 2015's Holding All the Roses, reached No. 1 on the country charts as well as No. 29 on the pop tally, underscoring the band's pan-genre appeal. Their homegrown blend of Southern rock and country has remained authentic and untainted through it all.

Always put on a very good show and we were there last time they came and the pit pass made for a much better experience.
Blackberry Smoke always puts on a great show. One of the few bands out there that sound just as good live as they do in the studio. Avondale Brewing is a great venue and everything was organized and well run.
Love Blackberry Smoke it’s like my 6th or 7th time seeing them. TJ running the meet and greet was really nice and made sure everything flowed well. Sweet of the band to do that extra for childhood cancer research.
Great show all around. The weather was perfect. The opening act was great. Blackberry Smoke played non-stop!!!
Lights went down, room got dark before first chord was struck, everyone in front of us stood up. To remedy this, We looked around for some unsold cheap seats and enjoyed the rest of the show. BBS was amazing. When floor seats quit selling promoters will get the message.
What an amazing experience...From purchasing the tickets...to being notified well in advanced...and meeting the band...AWSOME...If you haven't seen BLACKBERRY SMOKE you're missing out...ROCK ON...
Venue was ok, the show was Awesome! I brought my wife and another couple that weren't familiar with the band, they loved it and are now fans! Keep rocking BBS!
The band launched the evening with Six Ways To Sunday and never looked back. Years on the road have honed these guys into a rock 'n roll locomotive, with nary a glitch to be heard, From the first chords the sound was dialed in, drums, keys, guitars, everything was in tune and on time. Give the soundman some, but let's give it up for the band, too. A lengthy(i.e., worth the time and money) set that never felt long and all the favorites came rolling down the pike. Seeing a band of this caliber and magnitude in a venue the size of a high school auditorium only served to enhance the live experience. Hey Charlie and Co., anytime y'all want to come back to Baton Rouge, please do! Thank y'all so much!
the band was really good. lots of rocking guitar !!! the reason i only gave three stars is not because of them. the venue seemed more like a banquet hall than a musical theater. so that was kinda weird. and i really, really DO NOT like digital tickets !!!! i want an actual, physical ticket in my hand. i dont have to depend on phone service, access, battery and all the other things that can go wrong with phones. for the amount of money tickets cost, i think a physical ticket is not too much to ask. but, again, the band was great !!!!
Great concert! The sound and vibe was perfect. The band came on and started to rock.
So glad that I finally had a chance to hear them live, great show!
Blackberry Smoke was rocking the house! Great concert from beginning to end!!
Blackberry Smoke never fails to put on an AWESOME show!!! Every time we attend a show they seems to get better & better!!! Missed brother Britt, but felt his spirit with the group. Met interesting people before & during the show - all sharing a love for the music. Thanks Blackberry Smoke for entertaining us while celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary. Can't wait to go to another show when they come back again.
Great sound and energy! The venue was clean and comfortable and Blackberry Smoke rocked.
BBS is undoubtedly the BEST southern rock band in the country. There's nothing that can be added to describe the band, band members nor their performance. This was our 1st concert at L'Auberge Event Center in Baton Rouge and I can assure you it won't be our last. The venue itself is small and intimate. But the ease and accessibility of refreshments was by far the best we've ever experienced. That whole set up was so well planned. Others should take note!
The band was great as always but the venue does not make visual of the band great. The venue needs to do something about seating or not have concerts there.
This has to be THE BEST casino show I have ever attended. I can honestly say these guys are showmen who came to put on a show! I will definetly go see them again. They were that good! I'm telling you if you like good old fashioned rock music, you need to make a point to see this band. WOW.
What a wonderful performance. Great show. Glad I drove from Mississippi to Baton Rouge to see them.
Blackberry Smoke always puts on a fantastic show and this one did not disappoint! The band is fun, energetic and the sound is amazing! This is the most underrated band around in my opinion!
