Atlanta Falcons Team History
The Atlanta Falcons joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1966. Since their start, they’ve won six division championships and have appeared in two Super Bowl games (1999 and 2017). The Falcons began play in the former Georgia Dome in 1992, where they defeated all other 31 NFL teams at least once during their time there. In 1998, they had their best season to date, finishing 14-2 and winning the NFC West.
The Falcons played their final match at the Georgia Dome on January 22, 2017, beating the Green Bay Packers 44-21 to win the division title. Upon completion of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Falcons opened their new home with a preseason game in August 2017.

Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Located in Atlanta, the 71,000-capacity Mercedes-Benz Stadium (MBS) opened in 2017. Built as a replacement for the Georgia Dome, Mercedes-Benz Stadium was constructed completely with the fan experience in mind. Wide concourses give fans the ability to freely move around the stadium on any level.
MBS is one of the most sustainable and environmentally-conscious sports venues in the world. After achieving LEED Platinum certification upon completion in 2017, MBS focused on implementing operations to create a zero waste environment. As part of its sustainability initiatives, MBS developed and implemented a variety of green practices, such as water conservation, energy conservation, recycling and compost, alternative transportation, an urban garden, and agriculture programs.
MBS became the first sports and entertainment venue to achieve LEED Zero certification in any category which can only be achieved if a venue has achieved LEED Platinum, and the first Stadium worldwide to achieve official TRUE Platinum certification for zero waste. The diverted materials are reduced, reused, recycled, composted and/or recovered to curb the Stadium's overall environmental footprint.

The Atlanta Falcons’ 2023 regular season kicks off in September at home against NFC South rivals Carolina Panthers. In the final week of the regular season, the Falcons will travel to Caesars Superdome to face another divisional rival, the New Orleans Saints. Here’s a list of key games to keep an eye on:

From walking in and getting Falcon face masks, getting complimentary flags, taking pictures with the cheerleaders and Freddie Falcon the kids were on cloud 1009! The seating was superb, being next to the field, having a Falcon's eye view of the players was exceptional! Watching the players do some of the same plays as my nine-year-old football player was reinforcing and mind-blowing to him! We had a GREAT time and the food and prices were satisfying! Great time, Great Atmosphere, Great Memories!

He, Jordan, had the best time and is asking about next year. I am a Raider fan and I have to admit that I would love to return. The highlight was Falcons player, #21. Jordan asked for his autograph and he took off his shirt and gave it to him. He is now my favorite player that's not a Raider, lol. Hope to see a game this year!

I told my daughter that she will never have a football experience like We did in Atl! The stadium was Clean...The employees were very friendly & the customer service was impeccable 👌🏾!!!! Most of all the Food & Drink prices were very reasonable! For a Family of 3 we all ate for $28 bucks...ALL OTHER SPORTING ARENAS NEED TO TAKE NOTE! Our food was hot...tasted good and there were plenty of Options! Pre game giveaways and games were fun...The Game Experience itself was fun w/ crowd participation!!! The seats were comfortable and my field was Great!!! Im a huge sports fan and have traveled to many arenas, domes and stadiums...The Falcons get get 10 stars!!

Only a couple of critiques: Bad echo when players were being interviewed so I could not understand what was said. Wish it was a little longer and engaged the fans a little more.
