AJR IN CONCERT:

New York-based brother band AJR is generating significant buzz with their unique blend of barbershop harmonies, dubstep beats, and internet-savvy lyrical references. The trio's success with debut single "I'm Ready" has inevitably drawn comparisons to fellow brother outfit Hanson, but AJR's eclectic sound and DIY approach put them in a category all their own. From bright handclaps and playful samples to energetic ukulele and guitar strumming, AJR have crafted an endlessly creative sound that always leaves fans wanting more on their unforgettable tours. 

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

AJR is comprised of brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met. The native New Yorkers got their start as street performers, playing covers of songs by the Beach Boys and Vampire Weekend in parks around Manhattan. The brothers released their  debut single "I'm Ready" in 2013, tweeting it out to a number of celebrities in the hopes of getting discovered. The tactic worked -- the song caught the eye of SIA, who helped AJR secure a management deal. As the group's reputation continued to grow, they made their first TV appearances with performances on Good Day New York and VH1's Big Morning Buzz show. In late 2013 AJR released the I'm Ready EP, a solid debut that earned them opening slots on tour with big-name acts like Demi Lovato and the Wanted. A rising young act with talent to the gills, AJR have ticket buyers eagerly awaiting their upcoming tour dates.

    Best concert ever

    It was the best concert I think I will ever see. There were so many great affects and wow moments. I would recommend seeing this blind and not looking up any videos or anything. Seeing it blind wowed me and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

    Truely the best concert i have ever seen. I was crying from happiness. Their music has been with me through so much in my life and even though I did not get the fancy seats, I am happy I had the oprotunity to just be there and hear them live. I was so happy with the performance in KC as soon as I got back I got tickets for OKC! see ya next week!!

    FANTASTIC SHOW!!! But, a bit too loud/distorted

    The show was fantastic. We had upper side-nosebleed seats, and still had a great view. We were at about 8pm to the stage at 12. The tech for their show was next level. I don't want to give it away, but they use several methods to create an atmosphere and tell a story for each song. It was really cool to see. My only gripe? It was SO loud. I like loud music, grew up with very powerful car stereos and lots of bass. At times, it was so loud that you couldn't understand what they were singing. The volume could have been 25% lower, still felt loud, and I think the crowd would have been better able to discern some of the details of their music. I'd go again, though, I'll just wear ear plugs next time.

    Ajr definitely knows how to put on a show and keep their audience entertained! This show had so many things I didn't expect and it was mind blowing! The day after the concert didn't even make it feel like the concert was real, that's how insanely awesome it was! Next time they have a show, definitely getting tickets for the pit, because WOW. mind-blowing performance

    I've never been to an AJR show before but I knew that they went above and beyond to create high quality experiences for their fans. This show was no exception. They really have a way of creating entertaining shows. It was just amazing! Will definitely be seeing them again

    This concert was phenomenal so much so that my concert hater husband is begging to go the another one. The atmosphere, energy, and music were all so amazing!
