About

100 gecs, the duo Laura Les and Dylan Brady, planted their flag on the proverbial pop culture moon with the release of the 2019 debut album 1,000 gecs. The innovative album captivated online fan forums and music literati alike with The New York Times calling it, "some of the savviest pop music of the year," and Rolling Stone dubbing it "one of 2019's most exciting debuts." The years that followed saw the St. Louis natives go from unlikely SoundCloud cult heroes to show-stopping wizard-cloaked pied pipers, covering magazines and selling out concerts across the globe. With the arrival of their long awaited sophomore album, 10,000 gecs, in March 2023, 100 gecs appear yet again to be two steps ahead of the curve on the ever-molting pop music landscape. Vulture praised the "intangible and ineffable" sound of the album calling it "high concept pop" and fittingly Pitchfork called it "a perfect outro album for the end of the world" while dubbing it 'Best New Music' in their review. Equipped with stadium-sized anthems like "Dumbest Girl Alive" and "Hollywood Baby" the 10x sized album is road-ready as the band ventures out on their 10,000 gecs world tour.

    nonstop action

by zoe on 5/7/23Tabernacle - Atlanta

machine girl opened, amazing explosive energy, the venue was really cool, then gecs came on and blew the whole place out, hit after hit, great vibes all night, even came back for an encore. couldn’t ask for more. only thing that i disliked was the security people could be kind of a buzzkill trying to shoo people from where they were standing because it was packed, but i guess i understand they were just trying to keep things orderly..

Why would you start the first band the second doors opened?

by Moggy on 5/6/23Tabernacle - Atlanta

100 gecs had a fantastic performance. I was overall incredibly disappointed with my night, however. The doors were opened at 8. Typically, there’s a 30 minute window between doors and the first act, or some kind of local talent to open the night so patrons may buy drinks, merch, and find their spots. Not this show. Machine girl went on the second doors were open and ONLY PLAYED FOR 30 MINUTES. Meaning I missed the band I wanted to see the most because of lines and the tabernacles less than favorable security. I try to avoid ticket master and the tabernacle at all costs, this was an excellent reminder why I hate giving you guys my money. Starting the first touring bands set right at doors was an awful decision. I’ve only been to a couple hundred concerts though, so what do I know?

by Uni on 5/6/23Tabernacle - Atlanta

The audio at the tabernacle wasn't the greatest but 100 gecs still brought their magical energy and rocked us. I liked that the show started early and ended early since it was on a week day :)

    Amazing Time!!!

by Gec Gec Gec on 5/6/23Tabernacle - Atlanta

I had the time of my life seeing Machine Girl and 100 Gecs!! There was an active shooter warning going on nearby but I risked it all to see Gecs, worth it! However, the venue was oversold and they werent letting people back in if they went to use the restroom or got a drink, so it was extremely packed. Laura Les even noticed that herself from the stage, she said "they really packed you in here huh?" So that's the only down side which is a Tabernacle problem, not a 100 Gecs or Machine Girl problem.

    Electric

by Sandy on 5/6/23Tabernacle - Atlanta

The venue is my favorite so knew it would be a great experience. Never heard of machine girl before but was absolutely blown away by them. The building was shaking from the energy they brought. Fan now for sure! 100 gecs are so fun!! They were on point and really got the crowd riled up. Loved it!

    Sound quality was OK but…

by Denis Fresh Flesh on 5/6/23The Anthem - Washington

Too much reverberation especially for the first band, Machine Girl was my favorite band of this show but I felt like something was a bit off in the sound quality, maybe because it was the first band and the venue is huge. Then the sound was explosive for the last band which is okay but ear-raping. Maybe the venue can improve that with some sound conditioning.

    by 100000000Gec on 5/5/23The Ritz - Raleigh

    Nice

by Miasmania on 5/5/23The Anthem - Washington

100 gecs was perfect. Machine girl only played 30 minutes which was disappointing. Fever ray played for 1 hour 40 mins which was waaay too long.

BEST FIRST CONCERT I COULDV’E ASKED FOR

by B Dawg on 5/4/23The Anthem - Washington

I absolutely loved this concert and couldn’t have asked for much more. Machine girl’s opener was explosive and I don’t think anyone was prepared for it. I even got to mosh with the lead vocalist when he hopped into the crowd. Fever Ray was kinda cool but went on way too long, def the worst part. It took forever for Gecs to come on, but GODDAMN it was worth it. Such good energy, the crowd loved it, tons of yelling, tons of moshing, just a great experience.

    Great show

    by A. O. on 5/2/23

We saw them with machine girl and fever ray. Machine girl was awesome but fever ray played and endless set and kinda lost the crowd. Fever ray played at least an hour and a half which caused 100 gecs to be limited on time. However, the show was amazing overall and the energy way great. 100 gecs exceeded my expectations and played lots of songs off both albums. Would absolutely see them again!
