100 gecs, the duo Laura Les and Dylan Brady, planted their flag on the proverbial pop culture moon with the release of the 2019 debut album 1,000 gecs. The innovative album captivated online fan forums and music literati alike with The New York Times calling it, "some of the savviest pop music of the year," and Rolling Stone dubbing it "one of 2019's most exciting debuts." The years that followed saw the St. Louis natives go from unlikely SoundCloud cult heroes to show-stopping wizard-cloaked pied pipers, covering magazines and selling out concerts across the globe. With the arrival of their long awaited sophomore album, 10,000 gecs, in March 2023, 100 gecs appear yet again to be two steps ahead of the curve on the ever-molting pop music landscape. Vulture praised the "intangible and ineffable" sound of the album calling it "high concept pop" and fittingly Pitchfork called it "a perfect outro album for the end of the world" while dubbing it 'Best New Music' in their review. Equipped with stadium-sized anthems like "Dumbest Girl Alive" and "Hollywood Baby" the 10x sized album is road-ready as the band ventures out on their 10,000 gecs world tour.
oh my god this is the most fun concert ive ever been to. not only were both bands amazing, but the whole vibe in the room was very fun. the community brought the fun together.
probably one of the best concerts i’ve been to. they sounded very close to their studio recordings and it was very fun overall. would definitely see them again
100 gecs always brings a unique quirkiness and new mix of antics to their show each time I've seen them perform. I will catch them any time I can. The crowd always goes nuts, too, me included.
Frog pit was geccin sick, Laura slayed, Dylan did as well just more cis-het version of slay.
Both sets were awesome, venue was clean, there was a pretty long line to enter, but it went quickly, and entry was easy. Merch lines went quickly as well. The venue’s restroom’s restrooms were not in the BEST shape, but everything else was fine. Employees at the bar were quick and very helpful, even after buying 10 water bottles at once…
saw gecs and machine girl at st pete and orlando shows, both were amazing! machine girl killed it opening and setting the mood for dylan and laura to melt faces. there were no negatives about it, i ❤️ gecs and machine girl and will continue to hit every florida show i can! highly recommend seeing them live
everyone jumping, very loud, very bright, and very stinky :D
Having never really been in a mosh pit before, I'm incredibly glad my first time was at 100gecs. The show was awesome, everyone was looking out for each other in the pit, and Machine Girl opening was just the cherry on top. Hoping to see them live again!
Incredible atmosphere, loved everyone I met there, shoutout Kyle. Might have only been there like 30 minutes to see Machine Girl, but even that was worth it. 10/10
Absolutely incredible experience. Everyone was having such a great time and they were very interactive with the crowd. Second time seeing them live and it’s such an experience every time!
Honestly, not being biased or anything, this show was awesome (4/5). I very much enjoyed myself and I'm going to give a quick and easy review to summarize it all: Venue (4/5) - was bigger on the inside on the ballroom floor where GA stands which means a lot of people were able to rock out together, however, it's a ballroom floor, so the floors were very uncomfortable without any emergency seating available if your legs cramp up. Seating was only available to VIP and the VIP section was upper balcony and very small, I don't understand who would pay those prices to be secluded from everybody else but okay. Merch Booth - Only One available and of course that means everybody waited in the same long line, which was brutal, but once you made it, you made it. Merch (3/5) was a little bit more than the first leg of their tour, but it was okay merch either way.... and when I say okay merch, I mean, basic merch that can also be found on their website. The Show (4/5) Opening Act: Machine Girl was not good. I listen to all kinds of music for years. I'm old enough to know what good music sounds like. Machine Girl is a terrible, awful band. (0/5) BUT 100 Gecs came and put on a 5 out of 5 show, full of stobe lights and fog and barbed wire fences and just the 2 amazing wizards of rock themselves! They killed it, i'm highly impressed by this Duo and can't wait to see what they do in the future!!!!.
Extremely kind event with amazing people and awesome music!
I threw up but with the amount of alcohol in my system, I guess thats to be expected. Not many tall women there unfortunately.
I loved it,,,,, so much,,,,,, I would trade my left leg for them to come back to ATL. Show was beautiful, well done with gorgeous visuals and lights :)
100 gecs was so interactive with the audience, it felt nice to know they wanted to get us pumped up. amazing set list
I honestly can’t describe how amazing they were, I have been looking forward to this concert for months now and they did not disappoint. The vocals, visuals, set-list, crowd, everything was amazing. I just wish the venue had A/C so the crowd would be more comfortable, but other than that no complaints. I will 10/10, 100% be seeing them in-person again:)
So so good, if I could give machinegirl and 100 gecs a microscopic lil kissie I would. I wanna be shrunk to the size of a mite and give em a peck
100 GECS is always great live. I’ve seen them twice and both times it was so much fun.
100 gecs knows how to put on a good show. Tons of energy and top notch production. This group is great at what they do. Will definitely see them again!
machine girl opened, amazing explosive energy, the venue was really cool, then gecs came on and blew the whole place out, hit after hit, great vibes all night, even came back for an encore. couldn’t ask for more. only thing that i disliked was the security people could be kind of a buzzkill trying to shoo people from where they were standing because it was packed, but i guess i understand they were just trying to keep things orderly..
