    Excellent & thought-provoking

by Alex on 1/29/20Parker Playhouse - Ft Lauderdale

I thoroughly enjoyed the Screwtape Letters theatrical presentation! The actors were excellent & the pace of the presentation was good. The venue was great: centrally located, ample parking, clean & comfortable. I don’t think there is a bad seat there. I look forward to other presentations by this company & at Parker Playhouse.

    Not what I expected

by Carla on 1/15/20Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts - Moran Theater - Jacksonville

Obviously I should have done a little research. I had no idea there would only be two actors. I found it exceedingly boring.

This was a superb stage production! The effects were great but the actors were fabulous! I would see this again without hesitation.

Well played representation of the classic work by Lewis. As relevant today as when it was written.

    Exceeded Expectations

by Scott on 1/15/20Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts - Moran Theater - Jacksonville

I first read Screwtape 30 years ago and it left a lasting impression on me as a new Christian at the time. The acting was brilliant. And the script was true to the original story. Entertaining and thoroughly thought-provoking. Highly recommend. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Well done! Great show with just enough comedic touch to bring points home. From parking to entrance to being able to hear well in orchestra left center area, the experience was easy and enjoyable.

I loved everything about it. The acting, sound and lighting effects, crowd response, venue, content and keeping to the best parts of the book.

    What a GREAT Performance!

    by P. n. on 11/25/19Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

From the moment we walked into the Pantages Theater, we knew we were in for a wonderful performance. The stage was a very simple set yet was just perfect for the performance. The two actors performed the play perfectly...C.S. Lewis would have been very pleased! We were very much drawn into the set and the story. The icing on the cake was to have the director come out at the end of the play and answer questions from the audience.

    Awesome

Everybody would like this, even you athests, because, let's face it, this is about internal conflict as well as spiritual. Excellent play.

    Outstanding Performance

by Jason on 11/20/19Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

More theaters need to have performances like this. Brent Harris was brilliant as Screwtape. The play was essentially over an hour of dialogue straight from the book. To memorize the original written words is very impressive. Part of me wished that the dialogue was modernized. But it is far more challenging, in my mind, to memorize and speak language that is from another time period. That, mixed with his acting and that of Anna Reichert as Toadpipe, created a masterpiece that I won't soon forget!

    Challenging.

by Uff da!! on 11/19/19Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

Well done. Thought provoking. Would’ve like it to be even a bit longer and more intensive, even though it definitely did scratch a lot of theological itches in the audience.

    Great date night

by Adam on 11/5/19Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

It was an exceptional play. Impressive that it could mainly be performed non-stop for 90 minutes. I would definitely recommend this whether or not if you’ve read the book.
