About

Def Leppard in Concert

The world is a confusing place, but there's one resounding truth we can all count on: Def Leppard will rock you. Going strong for more than four decades, the British heavy-metal heavyweights are the world's premier torchbearers of the hard-partying, fist-pumping, ear-splitting hard-rock tradition.

With more than 100 million albums sold, dozens of arena-filling world tours under their spiked belts, and an upcoming induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Def Leppard is headbanging as hard as ever — and once again launching themselves into a globe-spanning concert tour.

Def Leppard's longevity is all the more surprising given their debaucherous origins. The band's longest-standing members — singer Joe Elliott, bassist Rick Savage, and drummer Rick Allen — met as teenage secondary-school students in Sheffield, England. They soon found themselves swept up in the late-1970s wave of British metal that included Iron Maiden and Motorhead.

Year after year, No. 1 album after No. 1 album, they've survived all manner of rockstar antics over the course of their career through luck, fortitude, and good choices. When Allen lost his left arm after crashing his Corvette in 1984, the band never considered replacing him. After joining the band during the recording of 1982's Pyromania, guitarist Phil Collen quit booze, went vegetarian, and began studying martial arts. Today, at 61 years old, he gives a new definition to the term "dad bod" (dude is ripped). The final puzzle piece, Vivian Campbell, signed on after the 1994 death of original guitarist Steve Clark. This current lineup has endured together for a quarter of a century, longer than the entire lifespan of lesser bands.

As seen throughout 2018's 30th-anniversary tour, the members of Def Leppard remain in peak form and the band is a live-performance powerhouse. Summer of 2019 sees them embarking on a tour through Canada, England, and Northern Europe. If you ever needed affirmation about the life-preserving properties of rock 'n' roll, this is it.

The world's most iconic and celebrated rock legends hit the road in the summer of 2020 for a coheadlining tour so massive that it could only be held in America's biggest stadiums. The Stadium Tour featuring Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, with Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts hit select cities in the U.S. where each band brings their electrifying stage shows while promising to perform their stadium sized anthems.

Def Leppard on Tour

2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Def Leppard are one of the most important forces in rock music. In 2019, the icons closed out a sold-out worldwide tour including a North American stadium run & headlining the UK's Download Festival to 90k screaming fans. Def Leppard's star continues to rise and prevail. The band have amassed a staggering 2.5 billion streams since releasing their music digitally in 2018. Def Leppard's influential career crosses generations and includes numerous hit singles and ground-breaking multi-platinum albums—including two of the best-selling albums of all time, Pyromania and Hysteria, both of which are certified Diamond (10x platinum).

FargoDome Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Alice Cooper

    by SR on 8/19/23

The bass was set way too loud and the sound was very distorted. We thought we had good seats, Section 1, Row A, Seats 4 - 5. But we had people constantly walking/standing in front of us the entire night due to the placement of the stairs for the floor seating. These tickets should have been sold as "Obstructed View"and we shouldn't have had to pay full price.

    Awsome!

    by Lori on 8/19/23

If you get a chance, don't miss this show. Although I am not a Motley Crew fan, they had a packed house and sounded good. Def Leopard, on the other hand had the crowd in the palm of their hands the entire two hours they played for us. There wasn't an empty seat in the entire stadium. They sounded just like they would if were playing them on your turntable at home. They have a great show, had great energy and entertained us all evening. This is a must see band if you are truly a Def Leopard fan...don't miss them. You'll be sorry.

Alice Cooper Motley Crue Ded Leopard

    by Grnpickle on 8/19/23

Excellent concert- full of energy and great music by all three bands. My only complaint is that the bands should also come more to the sides not just the middle and bring them out further it’s hard to see the drummer when you are on the side

Wonderful show shared with a new generation of rockers.

    by Grandma on 8/19/23

I’m a senior citizen and proud of it. Classic rock n roll is my jam, especially live shows. I am sharing my love of live music with my teen granddaughter. I have a limited income and have to pick and choose which shows I can afford to take us to. The live outdoor show in Tulsa at the University of Tulsa’s football stadium was amazing. I was able to wait to purchase my tickets and got in on a deep discount special. Our seats were high up in the end zone, but we got a wonderful breeze. We were able to see everything, thanks to the jumbo sized screens at both sides of the stage. We joined the rest of the crowd in multiple sing alongs with each of the 3 bands playing. Before dusk, we were able to cool down in the cooling station which was located next door in the basketball arena. We appreciated the cold water refill station that was provided. All 3 bands were wonderful. They all sounded like you expect them to live, just like they do on the radio and their albums, unlike many more recent bands. I received information on reserving a parking place in advance. That was invaluable. It made driving, parking, and leaving after the show so much easier. We didn’t have to waste time driving around looking for parking. It was prepaid and we could pick where we wanted to park and the price point we wanted to pay. Staff for the event, across the board, were courteous and professional. A shoutout to all the security, law enforcement, and medical personnel that we encountered. They were obviously very busy but very friendly, courteous, and professional. We would definitely do this again if ticket prices are affordable for an average person like me.

Great concert just let down by one thing

    by Dave L on 8/19/23

Concert was great. The Motley crew and Def Leopard were amazing. Even better was the special guest of Alice Cooper! Only bad thing about the venue was the terrible lack of parking, we spent 45 minutes looking for somewhere to park and then had to walk 15 minutes. Missed the start of Alice Cooper by the time we got in the venue.

    Summer Tour

    by SherriW on 8/19/23

The Alice Cooper, Motley Crue and Def Leppard concert at TU was awesome! This is our home football field and this show took it to a whole other level. Great venue, great crowd, went really smooth. One tiny hiccup, only having card transaction lock up for a short bit, but, cash took over. Overall, such a fun night! I was so proud that TU hosted. All three bands

    Great show! Terrible sound system

    by Lulughini’s Mom on 8/19/23

Fuzzy sound system ruined an otherwise great show! Alice Cooper was phenomenal! Def Leppard was class and grace personified! What a performance! The audience couldn’t tell what was being said unless you either knew all the words to the songs or were sitting right up front. Hope that’s corrected at the TU Campus venue soon.

    Fantastic!

    by MrsWay on 8/19/23

This was a great concert. The venue hasn't held a concert there since the 90s and they only had one event. They missed out on a goldmine for the college. They offered a shuttle and free parking. The food trucks at the venue were top notch. The merch was high but a very good selection. Alice opened and he was great. He did all his hits. He sounded wonderful. His wife was part of the show and he brought his boa too. Motley Crue were so good! They were very entertaining and Tommy Lee was so funny! It felt like I was transported back to the 80s. I absolutely loved it. John5 stepped in for Mars and to me, it was a bonus as I love John5. Def Leopard closed and they were wonderful too. It seemed like nobody did an encore , but that was okay as everyone's sets were pretty long. It was a fabulous concert, but my favs were definitely Motley Crue.

    by Patti on 8/19/23

Loved Alice Cooper and Def Leppard! One hiccup, I wasn’t given a wristband for floor seating because we got there early and had a hard time getting service on my phone to prove I had seats on the floor

    Unbelieveably Amazing

    by Mitch H on 8/19/23

Fantastic seats, great friendly Tulsa crowd, even the weather cooperated. I think the Tulsa crowd was so appreciative of such a high profile concert coming to town. Being from Texas I have a lot of respect for Tulsa now.. Each band put on a heck of a show, tons of energy..literally we couldn't have asked for more.. Thanks Alice Cooper, Motley Crue and Def Leppard an their entire crews for outperforming their already legendary reputations!
