About

Brilliantly innovative, heartbreaking, and wickedly funny, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH is the landmark American musical by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask that is “groundbreaking and undoubtedly ahead of its time” (Entertainment Weekly). This genre-bending, fourth-wall-smashing musical sensation, with a pulsing score and electrifying performances, tells the story of one of the most unique characters to ever hit the stage.

Directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening) and winner of four 2014 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH played to record-breaking sell-out crowds on Broadway and promises to take the country by storm with what Time Magazine proclaims is “the most exciting rock score written for the theatre since, oh, ever!”

I saw Hedwig on Broadway with NPH, and this show was just as amazing. Highly recommended!!! Cast was outstanding.

My friend & I went as a last minute decision. We knew very little about it & we were blown away. We didn't want it to end.

    "Hedwig" was entertaining

by DrDo on 1/31/17Peabody Opera House - St. Louis

Was expecting the play to be similar to the movie (which I really liked) but was more a one man show. The actor that portrayed Hedwig was very good. However, I was comparing to the move and it did not measure up.

    Amazing show.

by lava174 on 1/31/17Peabody Opera House - St. Louis

This show is powerful, funny, and has an incredible amount of talent within its small cast. One of the best live performances I have seen. The show was tailored for our venue and location, felt personal and real. The production seamlessly incorporated visual projections into the set. The cast had real stage presence and a visceral connection with the audience.

    Hedwig's music was awesome!

by LisaandSara on 1/31/17Peabody Opera House - St. Louis

This show is definitely not for everyone, but my daughter (25) and I enjoyed it! It was "deeper" than we thought it would be - we expected all comedy and weren't prepared for the emotional impact. I enjoyed the music so much that I bought the CD on the way out. We felt bad that there were so many empty seats - the cast was really talented!

    AMAZING!

by 20Paws on 1/31/17Peabody Opera House - St. Louis

The touring production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch was every bit as awesome as the Broadway production in New York. Euan and Hannah were SO great. We loved it and actually saw it twice while it was in town. I cannot recommend this enough... GO SEE IT!

    Hedwig is a must see!

by Jjohnson6001 on 1/31/17Peabody Opera House - St. Louis

I've been a big fan of Hedwig and the Angry Inch for years, but I have never been able to see it live. Once I saw they were coming to STL, I HAD to go! To say that I loved it would be an understatement. Euan Morton was charming, quippy, charismatic as Hedwig. He sounded fantastic and had true stage presence. Hannah Corneau really blew me away as Yitzhak. Her body mannerisms were perfect and her voice was beautiful and yet still rock and roll. All of the other cast mates, you guys rock truly. The set design was great, The Origin of Love being one of the most beautiful performances with the projections swirling around like a dream. If I could, I would see it again!

    AWFUL!!

by mkowen on 1/30/17Peabody Opera House - St. Louis

I couldn't give it no stars, so had to give it one. Sound was shoddy, singer was mediocre, jabs at St. Louis Mayor expected and not very original, gratuitous acknowledgement of Scottrade Center next door, set not interesting. I would provide more feedback but we walked out after 25 minutes; about 20 minutes later than any of us realized the others wanted to go.

by blueinch on 12/24/16Paramount Theatre - Seattle

I flew here just to see this show, and it was the best decision I made in a while. Euan Morton as Hedwig exceeded my expectation. Beautiful story and music and lyrics.

Loads of fun. Loud. Light show was the best. The sets were fantastic. Not for everyone. But for everyone I know.

Loved Euan's voice and energy. Definitely a more masculine Hedwig but he was awesome. The female lead was also amazing!!!

Hedwig is a play to avoid

    by theater111 on 12/21/16Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Hedwig and the Angry Inch touring show was one of the worst productions I've seen in years. The acting was poor, the music was to loud, and the actors/singers were just going through the motions. Overall horrible production and the worst sound system I've ever heard at the Paramount theater

    Funny!

by Ingasfriend on 12/21/16Paramount Theatre - Seattle

As you follow Hedwig's story, you ride the emotional rollercoaster of her tragic life while laughing and jammin' to great songs! I left the show wanting to know more about her.

This show is amazing. It is a funny and poignant rock musical. Themes are adult, obviously, but Hedwig is amazingly witty.
