We had a fantastic evening. Great performances by all! It was our first time and we throughly enjoyed ourselves.
First time seeing any performance at DPAC! Show was great, venue comfortable and not a bad seat in the house. Intermission ran smooth with restroom and refreshments. Can't complain about anything. Even the parking was right outside the doors!
This is the third year in a row I have attended A Christmas Carol. Each year is tailored for current events and absolutely hilarious! I love the interaction between the cast members. It makes the experience perfect!
A Christmas Carol isn't my favorite story but I heard good things and knowing Ira David Wood is retiring soon I gave it a try… Wow! We had a blast! The whole family loved it! Kids, grandparents and everyone in between. Highly recommend making this a Christmas activity!
Our group of 7 attended the Saturday matinee of A Christmas Carol. I had difficulty finding and loading one ticket which I had purchased separately. Juanita calmly and quickly figured out the problem and had me admitted and back with my family in less than 5 minutes. Talk about relief! And I cannot say enough about the “bathroom elves” at intermission who keep that line for the women’s restroom moving at lightning speed. Thank you DPAC!
Warm, funny wonderful experience , This has become a family tradition and we look forward to the subtle changes every year
Have been coming for year to this show, this one was a let down
Seeing IDWs Christmas Carol at DPAC should be part of everyone’s Christmas season! We all know the old Dickens story but the entertainment value of this live show is through the roof! Amazing talent and lots of local actors star in the show. The colorful set, the music, the singing, and the laughs and the tears, are just what you need to for the Christmas season. Don’t miss this show!
In the past the Christmas Carol story was told with a few jokes sprinkled in. This year it was a ton of random silliness with the Christmas Carol story barely recognizable.
Irreverent, inappropriate and not at all what I was expecting. Set was amazing and A+ for effort. Content not appealing.
This show NEVER disappoints! It is GREAT. It us so funny.
My adult daughter and I had a great time at the show. I have wanted to go for years, and finally bought tickets. We both really enjoyed it! The only negative was the political jokes. It made my heart sink a bit every time.
We saw the show last year and thought it was fantastic and couldn't get any better. Well, it WAS EVEN better!! I laughed so hard!! The little girl who played the Ghost of Christmas Past was precious and adorable! Ira David Wood III was amazing! It was a marvelous experience all the way around!
This was so much better than I thought it was going to be! It kept me laughing, and then a couple spots. Crying, the dancing and singing were fabulous, and the little girl who played Christmas past was amazing. If you get a chance to see this don’t pass it bye.
Too vaudevillian. Scrooge is pretty annoying. Overall, I thought it was awful.
Show was amazing to start with..DPAC is very easy to get in and out..the volunteers/employees are always so helpful..the bathrooms were not as crowded this time. We rarely buy drinks or food since we dine beforehand. Seats were very comfy..we had to tickets we didn’t use so we had more room too!
Once again the performance was spectacular! Fresh and current and true to the meaning of transformation of hearts for the good of all. Well done !
Took my grandsons (11 & 13 yrs) to see this as their first experience seeing theater. They were skeptical but within minutes were laughing and they stayed engaged throughout the performance. Such great fun and I'm happy that the script didn't shy away from the true meaning of Christmas. The actors were great, the sets beautiful and the music was vibrant. Altogether entertaining. I do wish that tickets were more affordable for the average family because everyone deserves to see this play. We are going to try to make seeing A Christmas Carol a family tradition.
This is the 5th time I’ve seen this show. As always, it is funny, original, and heartwarming. Our extended family is making it a family holiday tradition to see.
From parking to the brilliance of turning a classic into a musical and entertaining throughout with down home jokes was amazing. The stage, music, and extras enhanced the atmosphere and made me want to come back immediately. See you next year!!!
