The Sphere Experience Tickets

First experience with the sphere. The first (and last) experience was access. It is not located in a particularly walkable area, particularly when you a sharing the walkway with thousands of othere guests. Ended being very late for a diner reservation. Second experience was a prefunction in the lobby where you could interact with AI Robots. Fascinating and unnerving demonstration of artificial intelligence. Third experience was the letters from earth cinema. The audio, video, and temporal systems were impressive. The movie content, not so much. The most anthrocentric perspective I have ever encountered--if man can destroy the world, then he can make new ones and save earth at the same time. Human survival will be of the wealthy, who can afford to emigrate to other worlds and then come back to play on earth.

Everything was great, but the entry. I got into Phish quicker all 3 nights. The entry of the experience lacked experience. Show was at 3, doors opened at 2. I was there at 1:30 and waited in line for 45 minutes, which made me miss almost all of the robot demonstrations. The security check took way too long. It’s a joke, that your check is that strict. Figure it out or the sphere will keep losing money. Otherwise the show itself was fantastic, 4stars.

Based on the description of the so-called two part show experience, you will think when the doors open at the time noted on your ticket you will be treated to a two part experience. Nothing can be much further from the truth for the average person. When the doors open there a few interactive exhibits and experiences but if you're not one of the first 1-2 hundred people who enters the building, you won't be able to get near them given the number of people entering and the quantity of experiences and exhibits available. In reality the first part of the two part experience is simply an opportunity to sell over priced drinks and a few over priced food items. When you go up the escalators and "Postcards from Earth"begins, be ready for a world class presentation. I would rate this presentation five stars or more. As far as seat locations are concerned, don't shy away from the cheaper seats and think you need seats in the middle. There really isn't a bad seat in the house.

When I bought a ticket to go to the Spear, I paid $15 for a parking ticket. The show time was 7 o'clock, and my friends and I tried to self-park at 6:20, but there were not enough people to organize the traffic, so we went in and parked. I couldn't do it. We were worried that we might be late, so we went in after seeing the sign saying event parking, although we couldn't tell who was right in front of us. There, I was able to park my car and enter the theater by paying another $35. Spear was so new and fun, but I really hated parking.

The sphere was awesome. We loved the movie although depressing. Steep seating but well worth it.

Going to the Sphere on Earth day and watching Postcard from Earth was special. I did not know what the program would be about, but was completely absorbed and dazzled by the production values. The message and the program were timely and inspirational because while telling a harsh truth it remained hopeful. See this if you can!

Not worth the 200.00 we spent. Too crowded. Couldn’t get any where near the robots.

It’s an amazing experience. Loved and enjoyed every minute.
