    Amazing technology

by RaginKjun on 10/16/23Sphere - Las Vegas

Took Uber, ease of arrival. But our tickets for balcony were accessible by stairs, there was handicap accessible, but we would have to walk completely around to access; since we were very early so as to experience the outside, we were able to take our time and take the stairs. We were also early enough to be only about sixth in line at the security entrance. My sister brought her camera to take pictures outside, when we went inside, we were told she could not bring her camera. There was an area set up for people to check their cameras and larger purses to be collected after the show. Once inside there were elevators and escalators to the various levels. The show was incredible, the technology made us feel like we were actually there. This technology is decades beyond anything I had ever experienced. There were plenty of employees on hand to help with all aspects of the venue. On departure Uber pickup was in a garage. It was a bit of a mess, but I think it was because it was brand new, our Uber driver didn't know where to pick us up and I had to text her where we were. I think that will improve over time. I would highly recommend the entire experience.

Screen is awesome, but lobby needs work

by Danny on 10/16/23Sphere - Las Vegas

I saw the "Postcard from Earth"movie. If you remember the old "omniplex"theater, the screen will be a familar experience, just upgraded and bigger. The film experience was great, but i don't think its the best demo for what the screen can do; some of the cusom animations i've seen for the U2 concert seemed more immersive. The nature movie was mostly a bunch of flyover footage, and not all of it was even high res. The few scenes that were really sharp were very impressive, but most of the footage was softer. The vibrating seats were used with discrestion, so that worked well enough. PSA: I get motion sick fairly easily, but I didn't have any problems with this one film; sitting about the middle point of the venue ( i could see the edges of the screen). The concert stage is shockingly small, so i'm not sure how artists will actually like the venue; the screen is definitely the focus. My ticket was for 9:30, but the movie doesn't start until 10:30, so you can "experience"the lobby and activites an hour before-hand. Lots of SRO bars and snack places, so that's good, although the bar i went to was not equipped do a real cocktail as simple as an 'old fashioned'; think gin& tonic, and beer, not real cocktails. Pricing was strip-level high as expected. If you haven't been to the sphere before, definitely go early enough to check out the funky and cool interior, however i wont' be doing that again. The lobby is a real wasted opportunity. There are "robots"scattered throughout that you can have AI conversations with, as well as body scanners to create an avatar of yourself. Given the long lines, i didn't get to try the body scanner, but it looks like a pretty similar experience to an airport body scan lol. The robots are very gimmicky, and quickly lose their novelty. Those are the only 2 "experiences"in the lobby, which feels largely empty. They really need to figure out better things to put in there; a gallery, VR experiences, an actual bar with seating; nightclub; something. For now, I'd say go about 30 mins early to grab a drink and check out the architecture, but skip the rest of the lobby. I would say this qualifies as a "Must-see"experience for visting friends who are already down on the strip, and fans of cinema, but its not something i would visit again until a compelling concert or new movie is there. I get strong "neonopolis"vibes off this place, and am a little concerned about its long term success. So far the coolest part of the Sphere is the outside displays, which you can see all over the city. I liked it, but I hope they improve the "experience".

    Could be better

by Mohammed B on 10/16/23Sphere - Las Vegas

Amazing experience but it could be better. I went to the sphere to see Post Card From Earth. I want early and there was a long line of people waiting for the doors to open. Expect to wait for a long time in lines and inside before the show starts. The show ticket says it starts 9:30 but it started about 10:35. So check the actual time of starting and door opening so you don’t waste your time waiting in queues and setting inside. (People were bored and kept clapping to entertain themselves). The lobby was stunning and interactive with many things to see. They have a great selection of food and snacks in each floor. The inside of the sphere is HUGE and the 18k screen makes the content feel so real and beautiful. The seats leg space is a bit small (like airplanes) and some tall people were uncomfortable with that. Another small thing that bothered me was that the screen is made of smaller squares that have shaded parts from the light of the screen itself (it’s hard to explain but you can see in one of the pictures) the smaller squares break the immersive illusion of the 18k screen. It could be adjusted for by the graphics. Overall a great experience but it could be improved. I think because it just opened recently they are still figuring things out. Hopefully things improve in the future. Don’t let my comment stop you from going, it is still a very memorable and enjoyable experience!

May be a haven for PI Lawyers.

by HIPR on 10/16/23Sphere - Las Vegas

Navigating the seating is a bit precarious given the steep seating angle and thin walking area in the rows. This said, it was a incredible experience.

    It was good but expensive

by Anuki on 10/16/23Sphere - Las Vegas

The show was great but not worth &all that money you pay. I also did the avatar picture but I never got the actual email with the picture, even though I waited in line for 30 minutes! Very frustrating!

    WOW!!!

by Delphine on 10/16/23Sphere - Las Vegas

I have to say, Postcards From Earth was an amazing experience and it had a very poignant and important message for all of us humans on this Earth. I thought the theater was amazing and the show was absolutely breathtaking and fully immersive, as the seats moved at all the important and perfect times and the way the whole show wrapped around you, just actually brought tears to my eyes a few times at the sheer beauty of our planet. And even before we all went in to see the show, the atrium at the Sphere was also absolutely amazing!!! I took part in the exhibit where you had an avatar of you on top of the sphere emailed to you and that was an incredible experience, and I just loved it. And while standing in line to do that avatar, I was able to watch Aura interacting with many people that came up to talk to her and her AI abilities were scary, amazing and really unbelievable. She got everything almost spot on and was asking people about the writing on their shirts and the drinks they were holding and what they were interested in and it was just really really amazing how she answered people's questions and as I said, a bit scary too! So the Sphere's atrium had some amazing exhibits before you even got into the show. I can't wait to be back in Las Vegas because I want to see this show again!

    Error at best/Mislesding at worst

    by Gary on 10/15/23

We could not be more upset right now. We came to Las Vegas to celebrate our 5th Year Wedding Anniversary. I had purchased two tickets for tonight's 7pm show as this was the ONLY must-see event that my wife was looking forward to seeing, was told that it was 1-hour and to arrive as early as 6pm to experience the first floor AI presentations. We arrived at 6pm and waited outside for close to an hour. We rushed to our seats only to find out by an usher that the show begins at 8pm....despite EVERY piece of marketing AND our tickets saying 7pm. We are now leaving Sphere at 8pm without having seen the show and having spent $200 on tickets because we have to catch our flight home. I don't know if this is incompetence or apathy but this is NOT how we expected an otherwise fantastic weekend to end. Terrible!

    Postcard from Earth

by Debbie on 10/15/23Sphere - Las Vegas

Fantastic show. Incredible visual experience. Review would be 5 stars except for a couple of annoying details. Time on tickets stated 7:00 PM which is misleading. upon arrival around 6:15, we were advised that entry does not begin until 6:45 and the actual film did not begin until 8:00 PM. There are 2 AI robots in Lobby putting on a demonstration until actual show time. In my opinion, the actual show time should be listed on the tickets. Because the start time was not clearly communicated, there was an extremely long line. In addition the previous show did not leave until approximately 6:40,which further added to to confusion. Show times should be more staggered including time allotted for lobby demonstration.

    Fantastic, except for the access

by Mike on 10/15/23Sphere - Las Vegas

Fantastic experience, highly recommend it. However, I cannot believe such a poor access and exit system for a $2.3B venue. Unacceptable.

Great show but short and late start

by PS on 10/15/23Sphere - Las Vegas

The show and technology were amazing. The process of getting in was delayed and seemed disorganized. The show started an hour later than scheduled. The reviews I read said the show was about 90 minutes but it was only 50 minutes. We felt rushed in and out and didn't feel we had time to enjoy the displays in the atrium.

    Such an Amazing Experience!

    by J-O-Nathan on 10/15/23Sphere - Las Vegas

This venue was amazing! All of the floors had something to discover and the show was mind blowing. Definitely a place I am going to visit every time I am in Las Vegas.

    Meh

by Jake from State Farm on 10/15/23Sphere - Las Vegas

The lines to get in were chaotic. Inside, the AI droids and other high tech toys were neat; but, the venue was a bit crowded and it was difficult to get close to the exhibits. The escalators to the various floors worked well. Food and drink prices were ridiculous (not surprised). Once inside the arena, the stairs were very steep. Some people were having a tough time getting down the stairs (there aren't any handrails). So, the stairs are a little dangerous for people that aren't in good shape. The show "Postcards from Planet Earth"was very good. The screen resolution, the sound, and the other special effects (wind, smell, vibrating seat) were really good too. In the end, the value wasn't great. It was worth doing once just to see the venue up close. I won't be going twice though; it costs too much. I'm a saver, not a spender.

    Atrium First…THEN the Show

by Jimbo on 10/15/23Sphere - Las Vegas

The show is amazing and out of this world with cutting edge technology. But, remember you have assigned seats, so enjoy all that the Atrium area has to offer…robots, avatar makers, etc.

Why allow eating in the show?

by AlWild on 10/15/23Sphere - Las Vegas

Long lines to get in so make sure you get there in time. Got there at 4:25pm for 4:30pm show scheduled to start at 5:10pm, which did not start until 5:30pm. Water/Coke is $7 and a small glass of wine is $20. Very steep angle for walking down to your seat. I saw a few older people having difficulty going down the steps. The movie was interesting but was spoilt for me by the person next to me eating fries etc. Could not smell anything else. Why do they serve food for a one-hour show? And they have to clean up after people who just left the containers in the seat. The picture, sound and haptics were great, except for me, everything smelt like fries. More Las Vegas hype!?

    Very Enjoyable Show

    by mg259 on 10/15/23Sphere - Las Vegas

There were some things to do at the Atrium and it looked interesting from what I saw. I really enjoyed the show and had a good view from my seat in the 300 level.
