About

Legendary New York-bred singer-songwriter Billy Joel has toured only sporadically in recent years, but fans have plenty of opportunities to score tickets to see him in concert going forward -- if they're willing to head out to New York's Madison Square Garden. Joel signed an open-ended deal with MSG that will have him playing a concert at the venue once per month for as long as there's demand. And demand has never been a problem for Joel at he historic New York venue; he played his first show there in 1978, and had logged 46 concerts at the arena by 2013.
New York isn't alone in its love for the singer. Joel has long been established as one of the top-grossing touring artists in the U.S., and has sold more than 150 million records over the course his four-decade career. After recording a long string of hits including "Piano Man," "New York State of Mind," "Just the Way You Are," "You May Be Right," "Pressure," "Uptown Girl," "We Didn't Start the Fire," and  "The River of Dreams," Joel decided that he was done writing pop and rock songs. It's a decision he's stuck with; it's been more than 20 years since he's recorded a new pop or rock album. He's composed new classical material instead, while continuing to play songs from his catalog in concert.

    Parking Nightmare

by ASH on 3/15/24Raymond James Stadium - Tampa

Billy Joel was amazing, but we never got to see Sting. We were stuck outside in gridlock traffic for two hours. We had parking passes but to get to the actual lots was impossible. There were no cops directing traffic. I have been to games at Raymond James and never endured this type of parking fiasco. I heard Sting was great just sad we didn’t get to see him .

    Billy Joel…Exceptional Entertainer

by Big Al on 3/12/24Raymond James Stadium - Tampa

As a singer for so many years, he has developed into a master entertainer. You cannot help but feel like you are in a small nightclub, not a huge arena. Well done 👍🏻

Parking nightmare- Never coming back to RJ Stadium

by Frustrated on 3/11/24Raymond James Stadium - Tampa

Billy Joel was terrific. Charismatic. Genius. People told us that Sting was wonderful too. After a frustrating 2+ hours in search of parking (finally ditched our car illegally), we made it to our seats 15 minutes before Sting was done. So we only really heard half of this mega-event. General Parking signage around RJ Stadium was a joke- a journey to nowhere. Followed multiple signs that took us miles away, and worse, NO Parking anywhere along these paths (multiple). No traffic cops anywhere. Nobody to ask. Nowhere to go. You could resurrect John Lennon and George Harrison, bring back the Fab 4, and if this event would be at Raymond James Stadium, WOULD NOT GO.

    Usual energetic show

by Ronnie on 3/6/24Raymond James Stadium - Tampa

When Sting is your opening 80 minute warm up act, how can you go wrong. Both were energetic and fantastic. That's why they've been performing for 40 plus years each.

    Excellent show!

by William on 3/5/24Raymond James Stadium - Tampa

Sting and Billy Joel were phenomenal. Both can still bring their A game after all these years. Getting to see two headliners in one show was an incredible experience.

    Amazing Concert Duo

by Laura on 3/4/24Raymond James Stadium - Tampa

Billy Joel and Sting were phenomenal in concert. Their style while performing is a little different, but we enjoyed both. Both of the artists are over 70 and wow...they've still got it. I have enjoyed Billy Joel since the late 70s and we were treated to an amazing concert! Highly recommended them!

    Awesome Show

    by NYYLORI on 3/3/24

I agree with the person above who said the Floor seats were horrible and to pay that much and not even see the screen unless the person in front of you moved slightly. Also getting out of the stadium and getting into an Uber was not great either but once again an amazing performance by both artists.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great time, get there earlier than you are planning!

by Lovely! on 3/3/24Raymond James Stadium - Tampa

Stadium (Raymond James) Show started right on time; good thing there was an opener because we left an hour earlier than it would take us to get there and we were still later than show start. Parking is a mess anywhere but stadium parking is outrageously priced (~$90 to park a half mile away). And that's not even counting all the roads nearby that are blocked off - so GO WAY EARLY! The staff was very helpful. Show: Billy Joel was awesome. Once in a lifetime show, I'm so glad we went, even though it was pricy. I enjoyed that he played a ton of his hits and some ones that weren't as well known. We really had a lovely time singing along - lots of energy in the show and Billy Joel was personable and fun. The band was great too - lots of talent on the stage. We had an absolute blast!!
