Jackson Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in 2007.
Except for a brief period in NYC in the late 1960s, Jackson has always lived in Southern California. His debut album came out on David Geffen's Asylum Records in 1972. Since then, he has released fourteen studio albums, four collections of live performances, two "best of" compilations, two DVDs and several single recordings. Jackson's newest studio album, "Downhill From Everywhere" was released in July 2021 and GRAMMY nominated for Best Americana Album.
Browne is known for his advocacy on behalf of the environment, human rights, and arts education. He's a co-founder of the groups Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE) and Nukefree.org and a member of the Ocean advocacy group, Ocean Elders.
In 2002, he was the fourth recipient of the John Steinbeck Award, given to artists whose works exemplify the environmental and social values that were essential to the great California-born author. He has received Duke University's LEAF award for Lifetime Environmental Achievement in the Fine Arts, and both the Chapin-World Hunger Year and NARM Harry Chapin Humanitarian Awards. In 2004, Jackson was given an honorary Doctorate of Music by Occidental College in Los Angeles, for "a remarkable musical career that has successfully combined an intensely personal artistry with a broader vision of social justice."

The acoustics at the Pantages were stellar! Jackson Browne was engaging with his audience and sounded fantastic! He played a great variety of songs and even did a tribute to the 4 girls that were killed at Pepperdine which was so touching and beautiful. He was real. I loved this venue because it was intimate and most every seat was great!
Jackson Browne was fantastic! His voice is as good as it was the first time I saw himā¦decades ago! He rocked and he rocked on for almost 3 hours..took a short break. If you have the chance go see him!!
Dreamy evening from when he walked out on stage and began the evening with the āDont get sickā a great story of these days we are all living. He was right where he left us from the very start. Band mates were incredible and each was glory in their own right. Loved and appreciated the appreciation they each had for the others accomplishments. What a nice evening listening to music with this legend. Great to have no offensive language and bad manners but kindness . Can hardly wait to see him again.
We drove 3 hours to see my favorite artist of all time. I was impressed with the Pantages theater but more amazed at the performance of Jackson Browne. His music brings me joy and brings tears to my eyes. I enjoyed his humor too. The band was awesome and I loved the slide guitar. Iām just sad the concert is over. Iām hoping he comes to Temecula or San Diego soon. It was my dream to someday meet him so Iāll keep dreaming that someday my dream comes true.
We saw Jackson at the Pantages theatre Hollywood Oct. 21, 2023. We have seen him EVERY tour in LA or SB for 30+ yrs. I AM OBSESSED with this Man and his music!!!! He is as spectacular a performer as he was 20, 30, 40 yrs ago!!! He engages humorously with the audience ! Jacksonās voice is like no other! Still sounds amazing in his more mature age! The band and backup singers are phenomenal! If you havenāt seen Jackson, you have no idea what you have been missing!!!!
Jackson Browne was at his best last night. His band was the best he has had in years. His song choice was perfect. And his chats in between songs were warm and heart felt Great Venue as well
Fantastic concert! First time seeing Jackson Browne. We certainly enjoyed the show. Sold-out audiences. The Pantages was a great venue. I highly recommend seeing him. 3 hours of hits!
From the first song, it was clear that my very favorite musician since I was a teenager still rocks my world. The maturity of JBās early lyrics sung by this phenomenal singer who has now gone gray, and who has the wisdom of decades behind him, is striking. And the songs from the subsequent decades ring true and clear. JB has always sung about how to make meaning of our lives and our world, and his wisdom is needed now more than ever. I love how the stories are always different and we learn more about JB every time he goes on tour. Who needs fancy concert set design when our senses are filled by the music. And the encore was remarkable. The last few years, Iāve seen JB in outdoor venues with strict time limits. In the outrageously gorgeous (and of course indoor) Pantages Theater, his encore went on for more than 25 minutes and created an atmosphere of pure emotion.
3 hours of great music. Some trouble with the mike settings at times as you could not always hear the lyrics, but the whole experience was great.
Jackson is the most humble, sincere singer-songwriter Iāve ever seen. No fanfare! No hype! No ego! Jackson is a consummate artist and professional whose unique music, voice and tremendous band made it a magical, memorable night. His ballads, rockers and environmental themes are woven together by a master. I love the man!
Great Venue, beautiful interior Nice bar next door- The Frolic Easy access, everyone was courteous Sound and music was outstanding and memorable. Halftime intermission No drinks allowed inside theatre but canāt wait for my next show! Argyle street parking next door, easy access and safe,
He is awesome! Has only aged well! Hope he comes back again.
Jackson Browne was amazing! The entire show was incredible from Jackson to his band (incredible musicians) back round singers were amazing and venue was the best! Iāve been to many shows and this was one of the best!
The concert was wonderful. He was very engaging. Beautiful voice.
JB at his best. Surrounded by top-notch talent. Excellent indoor venue.
Jackson Browne played almost for 3 hours. Great sound, visual was great
First of all, I loved seeing him at the Pantages and not some large venue. I have seen him over 15-20 times and he never disappoints. This was even more special as you could feel how truly happy he was to play L.A again (his home town) after experiencing Las Vegas. He wasn't rushed, took requests and just kept on playing with a short intermission. I'm sure the loss of David Lindley was still fresh, and he weaved him into his stories. I could have stayed all night. In light of what is going on in Israel, it was a wonderful night to relax and enjoy Jackson and the music. The band was incredible. Jackson, thank you for a beautiful night of your music, storytelling and being back home. I certainly have missed you.
Jackson Browne, at 75, is still an amazing artist!
Jackson was in great form, theater seats comfy but could not bring drink in theater. Enjoyed the show.
