    Too many folks

by S. on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

There's just so many people at the stages for the big acts, you can barely see. (Especially if you are short) Also, the biggest acts are often playing at the same time so you can't see everyone that you would like to see. Rather expensive for limited access

    Better than ever imagined!

by MsMeadow on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

The Jazz and Heritage Festival far surpassed my greatest expectations! It was so well organized from the outset. I'm so impressed and appreciative of the reasonable cost for attending AND that so much of the proceeds go back to benefiting that fine community. Of course the music was over the top wonderful. We had the privilege of seeing some of the all time greats and our personal favorites. What a line-up! Also the food was an integral part of the experience and of such high quality for a festival. It was the best! We will surely be returning next year.

    Better than you could imagine!

by Lucky on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

Everything about Jazz Fest makes me smile! From getting a warm greeting from volunteers to the vendors you and attendees - everyone is in a good mood and feel to be free at Fest (rain or shine)! The food is INCREDIBLE - frozen Cafe Au Laits, Creole Stuffed Bread, Crawfish Bread, Gumbo, Po Boys - you can't go wrong! I can't imagine being a lover of live music and not experiencing Jazz Fest at least once...which just promises that you'll be back bc you can't stay away!

    Great names, hot and crowded

by D. C. on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

The artist at Jazz Fest were incredible. The venues tend to be crowded. Lots of milking around during performances. Could use more food outlets. Being in the hot sun for many hours is tough. Was second visit will probably go again.

Three for music....Five for Jazz Fest Workers (Employees)

by EGB on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

Disappointed about the cancellations, but not anyone's fault. The biggest problem was all of the bands I really wanted to see played at the same time, and were located too far apart to catch part of each show. JF should space out the schedules of the most popular groups for those of us who want to see them. I realize you don't want everybody at the same place at the same time, but I missed several bands I wanted to see. The accommodations were very good considering the amount of people. The bathrooms were well kept. The food choices were plentiful, and the prices were not too outrageous except for the alcohol. All of the people working the concert...cleaning, security, etc... were EXCEPTIONALLY friendly and helpful.

    Could be better

by M. P. on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

This year was my first experience with JazzFest and I'm not sure if I would bother going back yet or not. It was an okay-ish venue, though it stunk of horse manure pretty bad in some areas. The food & beverage areas were functional but pretty lack-luster. You're there for the music, so it's not the end of the world that the food/drink options weren't great, but it would still make it a much more enjoyable overall experience to have a little more for people to do when shows aren't going on. Information for attendees was lacking such as where you could or could not setup chairs. I witnessed several groups of people being told by JazzFest staff that they couldn't setup chairs where they were at. It's fine to have areas where you don't want chairs setup so you can accommodate a larger number of people and have a "standing room only" section, however the festival needs to do a much better job of communicating the rules and areas to the attendees. So overall it was just an OK experience, but I was left feeling there was a tremendous amount of room for improvement, which was shocking considering this festival has had 50 years to work out the kinks.

    Greatest Fest on Earth

by G. J. on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

I've attended for about 18 years now and I am always impressed with all the genre's music. I am running between two or three stages at a time in order to see as much as I can. I love the food but I especially like that the prices have not gone up hardly since I started. I judged the festival also on how well they take care of the bathrooms. Well they have plenty of those , more than just portty potties. In the larger bathrooms facilities they had attendees and all types of women's snuff that we need. Bless them for taking care of us. I highly recommend NO Jazz Fest to everyone.

    First Jazz Fest

by KevinO on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

This was our first trip to Jazz Fest and first to New Orleans. We have been to many music festivals all over the country for many years. This is one of the largest and most well organized one we have been to. Great effort to keeping the grounds clean. Everything was very well organised. Was an overload of music for the four days we were there. Still recovering.

    Great Time at Jazzfest

by Crescent City Connection on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

Enjoyed all four days of the second weekend. Had difficulty getting tickets foe the second Thursday after the Rolling Stones dropped out. Tried securing through Ticketmaster and could not and could not get a life person to discuss it with. Luckily at the gate we met some native New Orleaneans and we were able to get in for the locals price of $50 which saved us over $35 a ticket. It is a great event this was my 35th year of attending.

    May 2 Jazz Fest

by R. K. on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

Was supposed to be The Rolling Stones! The other bands were good. Big Sam’s Funky Nation and Anders Osborne stood out through the day. First time hearing Widespread Panic. They don’t compare to the Grateful Dead but played their hearts out! Overall, it was a wonderful day!

    Amazing lineup!

by D. F. on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

We saw lots of great bands/musicians! After trying to see headliners at the two main stages and figuring out that we'd have to sit there for hours ahead of time to see them from any reasonable distance, we decided to hit the smaller stages instead. We ended up seeing a LOT of great music and didn't have to fight the crowds. And we still saw talent like Aaron Neville, The Mavericks, Clarence "Frogman" Henry, etc. Good times!

Music, food and Weather was great

by A Van fanatic on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

The weather in NOLA was great this year. Even the rain Saturday stopped in enough time for things to drain, allowing us to see our favored headliner, Dave Matthews. It was sunny, breezy and the crowd for DMB was huge. Music was terrific. The week before I got to see Van Morrison. He was in great form and did a stellar retrospective of his music, adding a bit of updating here and there. His band was stellar! Bonnie Rait also put on a good show, bringing Boz Scaggs to the stage for a number. And what would Jazzfest be without the New Orleans food. For me the standout was the soft-shell crab sandwich. Sublime. My only complaint is that I could not see all of the bands. So, I'll be back next year.

Good but needs some new blood

by Falls Warrior on 5/8/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

The second weekend of JazzFest ‘19 was a good one but the loss of the Stones was too much to overcome. The Fest is always more than one band, but there are too many top acts that would be great additions. The food was great, you handled the weather well, but you gotta bring in fresh blood.
