First time to The Moth Live... loved it! such a diverse group of story tellers and stories. Although I'd have chosen a different winner, they were all amazing!
I listen to the Moth all the time, but seeing it Live was so much more fun! Loved all the stories!
The Moth is wonderful entertainment experience. It is always great to see amateurs stretch their abilities and succeed. Their story telling was great.
Love, The Moth. This was my second time that I attended a Grand Slam and I am a weekly listener to The Moth on NPR. I brought my sister in law, she had never been or listened. We both loved it. She was so excited about it, that she was planning to tell others to attend. Keep them coming!
Moth GrandSLAM. The stories were great to fantastic and the host was fabulous. Acoustics were good and the view of the stage was perfect.
It was very good show, I thoroughly enjoyed the stories. Only thing I was not happy about is the seating arrangement, it was not comfortable for my neck to sit and watch the show for that long time !!!!
The Moth productions create a 21st century window into the current human travails by using the oldest method of communication : Storytelling. To a packed house at the restored Lincoln Theatre in DC, on April 24, 2023, ten individuals gave us their hearts to hold for 5 minutes each and we became better because of it.
Although I have heard some wonderful stories on the Moth radio show, the live event was a disappointment. The stories were sub-par and the first one was even cringe-worthy about a guy's private parts. I expected better and was embarrassed that I had encouraged two friends to attend with me that night.
This was my third Moth event. Most likely, it will be my last. I found the profanity, beginning with the quick-witted, drink-pushing emcee tiresome and unimaginative. And a storyteller’s sexually graphic scene grotesque. Sadly, I have aged out of these live Moth events and will henceforth rely on the edited versions over the airwaves.
