The show was great, but the venue was not as good.

by JC on 6/21/23Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

The show was great, but the venue was not as good. Poor planning, it was raining very hard and this had been the forecast for over a week. They had everyone standing in the rain, instead of moving the ticket verification further inside the building. In addition, they did not have any carpet runners or mats for people to dry their shoes off. While that does not seem like a problem, wet shoes on marble floors is not safe. The show itself was fantastic, too bad I had to sit through it soaking wet.

A truly awesome movie... and timeless.

by BnJ on 6/21/23Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

It was interesting that the audience was primarily adults and older adults. In some ways, it was like watching it for the first time. And the symphony orchestra made it a truly enjoyable and worthwhile evening. We need more humor in our lives and that movie hit the mark. Hopefully, SLSO will provide more opportunities like this one!

Great show, beautiful music, parking sucked

by Russell the muscle on 6/21/23Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

What a gorgeous place to hold this. The venue is amazing - great visibility wherever you sit. The sound is fabulous. The people at the venue were super nice and helpful. The musicians were amazing and superb. Fabulous. It’s so fun to go to see a show and be part of the “magic”. The parking situation - sucked. It was BAD. they had ONE attendant for the lot closest. Then there was street parking. I’ve been to events where they have had 2 attendants at the parking garage and that’s a bit better. Parking sucks around here. They should do better

    Delightful evening!

by kgranna on 6/20/23Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

This is one of our favorite movies, and to see it on the big screen, with the symphony really bringing the music alive, was a great experience. Highly recommend!

    Fantastic

by Sarah on 6/20/23Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

This was my first time seeing anything like this at the Stifel and 10/10 would do it again. Not only is The Princess Bride a classic that has aged well, seeing it with a bunch of other fans made the movie even better if that's even possible. The real star of the show was the orchestra. I didn't even realize they were there half the time (which is a huge compliment). They played their part so well that it felt like a natural part of the movie. Having the score surround you as an audience member brought this movie to life in a way that is not easy to achieve. I absolutely loved this experience, and I will definitely be on the lookout to do it again

This event was a celebration of creative genius coupled with behind the scenes reminiscing that made for a memorable night! Everyone left the theater upbeat and longing for more… if the opportunity to participate in this performance presents itself… jump in…this is an “ As you wish” moment not to be missed!

So much fun watching the Princess Bride on the big screen again amongst so many fans. Carey Elwes was so much fun to listen to afterwards. His stories were entertaining and he really seemed to love talking about his experiences and co-workers. Loved it!!

Princess Bride showing and Cary Ewles conversation

by WadeJ. on 2/7/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

The viewing of the movie was great, but the time listening to Cary's behind the scene stories was amazing and hilarious. It was nice to hear candid stories of things that happened during the filming and with others in the cast. The one thing that would have made the evening even better would have been if he were available after the film and conversation to meet him and get something signed.
