Seattle Sounders FC History
The Seattle Sounders joined MLS in 2009 and quickly built a Western Conference powerhouse, winning four U.S. Open Cups, one Supporters' Shield (2014), and two MLS Cup Championships in 2016 and 2019.
Jordan Morris was named the 2019 MLS Comeback Player of the Year after recovering from a torn ACL that sidelined him for nearly all of 2018. In 2019, the Sounders earned the No. 2 seed in the MLS Western Conference and qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs for the 11th straight season. In 2021, the Sounders became the first MLS club to advance to the finals match of the annual North American Leagues Cup tournament, and in 2022, the team won the interleague CONCACAF Champions Cup.

The Sounders play their home games before a 41,000-capacity crowd on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field in downtown Seattle, also the home of the NFL's Seattle Seahawks. When attending a Seattle Sounders game, you can hear thousands of fans from the Emerald City Supporters group chanting "Seattle Sounders, here we go!" to the tune of The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" at one end of Lumen Field. At the other end of the stadium, thousands of fans from The North End Faithful sing atop the thundering beat of the in-stadium Sound Wave Marching Band.

Seattle Sounders FC’s 2024 regular season kicks off in February at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, when the Sounders face off against Los Angeles FC. Seattle hosts their home opener against Austin FC on March 2. The Sounders play their final match of the regular season at home against Western Conference rivals the Portland Timbers. An unforgettable experience with a CONCACAF Champions League record 68,741 fans in attendance. It was great to see the Sounders make history and become the 1st MLS team to win the CCL. This was the biggest win in Sounders history to date and it will be fun watching them take on the best teams from around the world in the FIFA Club World Cup

If you haven't been to Sounders game, make it a priority.
Paid good amount money for these tickets. Only to be standing the whole time. went to the game to have a good time with my family and could enjoy the game with my daughter and wife, And couldn’t even watch the game with them. Never again buying tickets for any event at lumin field.
Amazing and so glad I was able to be there to experience the win!!! Our seats in 214 were the best!!
Took my grandson to the game and not only we won but stadium full and happy people all around us. Is great to see how people can behave and be friendly even when in opposite field.
Stadium staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a great view of the action from my seat. However my seat was exposed to the rain. While it’s fun to play soccer in the rain its not as enjoyable to watch the game in the rain. (Also be aware section 120 is near the supporters section so it’s hard to hear the PA announcer)
The atmosphere of these games is amazing, fun, and a wonderful experience! Makes me want to come back to more games. Entry gates are fast, staff are respectful and nice, and food is expensive but good. The vibe is great and fun. Only downside is if you don’t have club seats or front row seats expect to stand the entire game. I give this experience a 4 and half stars.
A very strict COVID-19 protocol, which I appreciated and the gate entry was still very fast! Although not the final result we wanted, all the Sounders stadium people are very professional!
We hadn't got a chance to get to a Sounders game all summer. We were happy to go to a play off game! We parked down the street and paid more, which was fine. The ease of getting in was helpful. But, we all had our Clear apps with our vaccination information. We had them out, they looked at them, and that was it...they did NOT scan a single one of ours. So, I'm sure that many got through security with a fake photo. Getting through security was easy, and getting into the field.
Sitting next to the chant section was the most fun I’ve had a soccer game!
