Seattle Sounders FC History
The Seattle Sounders joined MLS in 2009 and quickly built a Western Conference powerhouse, winning four U.S. Open Cups, one Supporters' Shield (2014), and two MLS Cup Championships in 2016 and 2019.
Jordan Morris was named the 2019 MLS Comeback Player of the Year after recovering from a torn ACL that sidelined him for nearly all of 2018. In 2019, the Sounders earned the No. 2 seed in the MLS Western Conference and qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs for the 11th straight season. In 2021, the Sounders became the first MLS club to advance to the finals match of the annual North American Leagues Cup tournament, and in 2022, the team won the interleague CONCACAF Champions Cup.

The Sounders play their home games before a 41,000-capacity crowd on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field in downtown Seattle, also the home of the NFL's Seattle Seahawks. When attending a Seattle Sounders game, you can hear thousands of fans from the Emerald City Supporters group chanting "Seattle Sounders, here we go!" to the tune of The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" at one end of Lumen Field. At the other end of the stadium, thousands of fans from The North End Faithful sing atop the thundering beat of the in-stadium Sound Wave Marching Band.

He is not only gorgeous but a truly amazing footballer who gets it done unlike Montero the cheery picker who needs to get on it more. With this placing us in 3rd I am hoping we can pull through to make the play offs. Luv my sounders! Sounders Nation Rules!

Atmosphere was what you would expect from a European match, March to the Match is a genius idea, Gets the fans ready to sing and get to the stadium together. Game was exciting from start to finish with New England getting a lucky toe poke goal. Would recommend a trip to Qwest Field to see the Seattle Sounders to anyone even if you are not a fan now, You will be after the 90 minutes.
