    A fabulous night out

    by Shoes23 on 3/26/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

I enjoyed Priscilla as much add I expected to. The songs were great, the costumes and performancess were wonderful. It contained lots of humour and was well worth watching. I have family and friends who saw it in London with Australian actors. I expected the same here. The only thing that put me off a bit were their accents. They weren't great. I'm a Brit and know an Aussie accent but maybe the American audiences won't notice as much. That was the only thing that they could improve on though. I loved it and want to go again.

    Fabulous Show

by WFBBoys on 3/26/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Priscilla starts out with a bang, drags you along, and doesn't stop until the very end. The stage version is so much better than I remember the movie being. Don't miss it if you can.

    Great big fun!

by Mopaar on 3/26/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

I saw Priscilla twice on Broadway, Priscilla on Tour did the original proud. The stage at Chicago's Auditorium Theater was a little smaller than NYC but this amazing cast made it work. Go see Priscilla! You'll smile the entire time.

    One Sparkly Evening

    by Songbird1355 on 3/26/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

I had seen Priscilla, Queen of the Desert when I was younger but had only vaguely remembered the story. What a fun interpretation, and a great fit for the stage! The cast was amazing and the entire evening was full of laughter, joy, and toe tapping. Catch this show before it leaves Chicago!

    Fun Hot Stuff

by roguefire on 3/26/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Hilarious show - and of course fantastic costumes! Not the best singing, but the fun of it is what you're there for. Not judging drag queens' singing abilities!

My husband and I saw "Priscilla" in New York, and when we saw it was in Chicago, we had to see it again. It is pure fun, and yet poigniant. The music, the costumes!!....One extavaganza after another. I told the man next to me " You are gonna love this show" .....at intermission he said "You are so right. This is fantastic". Thank you for a wonderful production in Chicago.

Without a doubt, this was exceptional. I have recommended it to friends and will continue doing so. I wish had enough money to see it again. So much fun, and it looked as if everyone in the audience had fun also.

    Great staging

by auditorinchicago on 3/25/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Great staging and music. Don't expect Book of Morman, but a fun little getaway for 2-3 hours. Music is great, you know most of it. The effects were truly impressive. Watch the bus and see how it changes

Shaky first act, second act fantastic

by FirstTimerJ on 3/25/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

First act got off to a shaky start -- I had trouble hearing clearly in the nosebleed section and the performance was not super tight, and the comedic timing felt off a few times. But things really turned around in the second act, and everything was clear and crisp. Though the musical is recent, some of the material feels slightly dated, but it's hard to remain current given how quickly gay culture moves. The set design was also very fun and creative. I know this review sounds negative but overall I really did enjoy it -- definitely worth it!

    Joyous

by praetorious on 3/25/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

I fell in love with this show from the opening number, "It's Raining Men". A group of three women called the Divas are flown in from the top of the proscenium and hang there singing. This is a motif that is used frequently. The show is so much FUN! If you liked the movie, you'll love the play. The performances were top notch. The singing was terrific. If I was going to trek across the Australian outback from Sydney to Alice Springs, Mitzi, Felicia, and Bernadette would be my companions of choice. The costumes are amazing. I had such a good time. I'd love to see it again, but I live about 4 hours away. I hope it plays somewhere closer to Indianapolis. Did I mention how much FUN this show is? The cast seemed to be having as much fun as the audience. If you miss this show, you are missing a wonderful time.

    Love the Music and Costumes

by MBChicago on 3/25/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

We went on Saturday night and couldn't have been more thrilled with the music (brought back lots of memories) and the costumes were some of the best we have ever seen!! Unfortunately, the audience sat like "bumps on a log" throughout most of the play except for lots of applause. I was hoping for a more enthusiastic audience with dancing in the aisles, etc. The last similar play I saw was "Mamma Mia" and the crowd was really ALIVE! I do have to commend the kindness of everyone at the Auditorium Theater. I had made a little mistake with my ticket order and they were most accommodating. We also self upgraded our seats since it wasn't a full house!
