    Queen of the Dessert...

by Coldcrackerword on 3/23/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

It's a funny show that struggles with a plot line. Lots of side plots that are left unexplained at the end of the show. Overall it's a good story. But it could have stayed on course a little better. The cast does a fantastic job vocally and with character development.

    WOW Factor!

    by galesburg71 on 3/23/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Absolutely one of the best productions I've ever seen - and I'm picky. I used to be in musical theater as a professional. Do not miss this gem - i've never laughed so hard in my laugh - and the Tony award winning costumes dazzle!

    Wow !

by Slogo on 3/22/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Enjoyed this from beginning to end. Costumes were spectacular . Spent most of my time singing along with the musical numbers. This was one fun show...would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed the movie. Only one negative and it has nothing to do with the show itself. There was one audience member who kept moaning ...I think he was supposed to be laughing ....at first it was funny ,but as the evening progressed it was rally annoying.

Big gay show, way old theatre

Costumes, lights, disco and drag queens hanging from the sky. Fabulous, just wish the theatre audio system worked better for the acoustics, we could barely hear anything!

    best musical ever!

by flavekl on 3/22/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

I loved it! Very fresh funny, lots of emotions. The venue was also great, really beatiful. We were a little bit far but we could see really good, and the sound was also good. I almost want to go again! I recommend it for when in need of a happy moment!

by RLAChicago on 3/22/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Four friends, two gay, two straight went to the performance at the Auditorium Theatre on Wednesday night and had the time of our lives. Everything about the performance was fantastic: Acting, costumes and design, the bus, the dancing and of course the MUSIC!! Two and a half hours of PURE ENTERTAINMENT!!!! One friend say, " I want to come back every night to see it again."

    Good but . . .

    by JMO16 on 3/22/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Costumes were amazing but thought the story line was just ok. Also thought it was hard to hear and understand especially in the beginning.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert fell short!

    by Playlover52 on 3/21/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

What potential for a fun night this play had. Certainly, it had its moments. (Thus the "fair" rating) However, much of the time I found it boring and directionless. In addition, the quality of the vocals from many of the cast members was not the usual Broadway in Chicago standard! Costumes were fun, creative and deserve a top rating. Please mic the character that does Tina Turner in the beginning better. We could not hear or understand him.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert was one of the best performances I have seen in a very long time. It was so much fun and the music was everything you knew and wanted to sing along with. Fantastic is the best way to describe the cast, the music, the experience and the entire evening!!

Priscilla was just what the doctor ordered to put a gobsmacked smile on my face as this dreary bone-chilling Chicago winter drags on into spring!

We were seated in the orchestra and at first we had a hard time understanding the words to the songs and the spoken words. The diction wasn't as crisp and clear as it might have been. It was not a volume issue. It got better as the show progressed so maybe it was a problem with the audio system...
