About

All the Way is a gripping new play about a pivotal moment in American history and stars three-time Emmy Award-winning actor Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad”) as President Lyndon B. Johnson.  This drama will take audiences behind the doors of the Oval Office and inside the first years of President Johnson's presidency, and his fight to pass a landmark civil rights bill.  Cranston as President Johnson will lead an ensemble cast playing roles such as Martin Luther King, Jr., J. Edgar Hoover, Hubert Humphrey, Richard Russell, Coretta Scott King, Lady Bird Johnson, Bob Moses and many more.

“Mr. Cranston cuts a vigorous, imposing figure as LBJ in Mr. Schenkkan’s sharply outlined portrait, employing a drawl as wide as a Rio Grande as the new president backstabs his way through the rough waters of a Washington.” -The New York Times

“Bryan Cranston not only lives up to the hype as LBJ, but ALL THE WAY is a sensational night of theater.” -npr

The show begins promptly at the advertised curtain time. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of management.

    Bryan.........so good!!

by TILLTHEN on 6/28/14Neil Simon Theatre - New York

Loved seeing Bryan Cranston in this informative historical play. about LBJ. Have to admit, his star power is the reason I went. He did a wonderful job, and seeing him in another role besides Walter White was a thrill!!!.. Kudos also to the other performers who were intense and passionate in their roles too. A great experience. Ps Before the play, I saw the Charlie Rose interview re all the research Mr Cranston did on LBJ. (He was a complicated man). Mr Cranston 'got it', and let us "get" the nuances of LBJ's character. Hope he comes back to Broadway after he gets in his much needed rest. !! ( As an actor, Mr Cranston reminds me of Meryl Streep.. they both can play many diverse roles and are Extremely gifted and talented).. Thanks for a great experience. Will be looking eagerly for his next perfomance, whenever that may be.

LBJ in a Turbulent Year for America

by WithJJ on 6/28/14Neil Simon Theatre - New York

"All the Way" is the story of President Lyndon B. Johnson and the turbulent year from when he took office (following the assassination of Pres. Kennedy) in November 1963 through the hard-fought passage of the Civil Rights Bill to his eventual re-election in November 1964. Bryan Cranston (of TV's "Breaking Bad") is dynamic as the 47th president, a "good old boy" Texan, a politically-savvy Washington player, and a man who genuinely cared for the civil rights of all Americans.

    Intense & riveting!

by Nursebuilder on 6/28/14Neil Simon Theatre - New York

Characters were well cast and developed throughout. Bryan Cranston must have studied many hours to get LBJ's gestures and mannerisms down so perfectly! There were so many stirring and tense moments that it felt like an emotional workout. Memorable and delivered what it promised!

    A trip to the past

by ciaobella333 on 6/27/14Neil Simon Theatre - New York

This had to be one of the best performances I've been lucky enough to catch on Broadway this season. I cannot explain how transfixed I was by Bryan Cranston's portrayal of LBJ. The supporting cast was superb. This was the highlight of the season.

    Bryan Cranston does it again!

by Fashionhopeful on 6/25/14Neil Simon Theatre - New York

For Breaking Bad fans who know how Bryan Cranston transformed himself from Mr. White to Heisenberg ... He does it again going from Bryan Cranston to LBJ. The performance is amazing and the play presents an important time in history in an enjoyable fast moving 3 hours. I didn't want the story to end.

All The Way at the top of my list!

by Sheryl59 on 6/25/14Neil Simon Theatre - New York

I recently had the chance to see All The Way with Bryan Cranston. It is hard to say which was better, the play itself or Mr. Cranson's performance. He was beyond incredible! It was a refresher course in a very important part of American history. Easy to see it won Tony awards for best play as well as best actor. The only disappointment is it is closing on June 29th. I was glad a was able to view such a wonderful performance.

    Fabulous play

by Redwildgoose on 6/25/14Neil Simon Theatre - New York

Could not take our eyes off Bryan Cranston, he is so gifted and such a joy to experience on stage. Yet the show functioned very much like an ensemble and among the cast some outstanding actors displayed their craft by playing several characters. The pace was quick, energized, and the use of isles, edge of stage, back of auditorium and mezzanine created the sense that we were all at the convention. Scrim photos worked very well for scenery and took us all around Washington. Nicely done. But the portrayal of Johnson....was so amazing, insightful, so human....Thanks bryan for bringing LBJ to life in such a moving performance.

    Amazing performance

by Doggie12 on 6/25/14Neil Simon Theatre - New York

Bryan Cranston's performance was the FINEST that I have EVER SEEN!!!! His transformation to LBJ, his ability to portray heartbreaking emotion and then transform again to this crude, tough President is amazing.

    Don't Miss This Play!

by Anonymous on 6/25/14Neil Simon Theatre - New York

For me it was a fabulous review of historical moments I only heard about on TV or in the newspapers at a time when I was twenty-seven and naive. The events were brought to life in an emotional style that made them real again I have a much greater appreciation for LBJ and the manner in which he operated. Cranston was magnificent.

    All the Way

by Vippy on 6/25/14Neil Simon Theatre - New York

I went to this show because I had a friend who really wanted to see it and as the resident Broadway addict I agreed. When I found out that it was over 3 hours long, I became a little hesitant, but I'm so glad I went. It was a well-written, well-staged play. The performances from the entire cast were phenomenal and it kept my attention from beginning to end. Definitely lived up to the hype.

    Briliant, outstanding show

by HerbVic on 6/25/14Neil Simon Theatre - New York

Bryan Cranston was truly outstanding in the role of LBJ. The show captured beautifully the spirit of the political times in the mid 1960s when I lived in the U.S. as a student. LBJ was a larger than life figure and history will judge him to be a great President.
