With their 40th anniversary at hand in 2013, legendary country band Alabama embarked on their first tour in more than a decade and released an officially endorsed tribute album titled "Alabama and Friends." The album features current country stars covering some of Alabama's country-rock classics -- including Kenny Chesney on "Lady Down on Love," Jason Aldean on "Tennessee River," Luke Bryan on "Love in the First Degree," and the Eli Young Band on "The Closer You Get" -- along with two new Alabama songs. It was a fitting tribute for the most successful band in country music history, which logged 34 singles that topped Billboard's country singles chart between 1980 and 2011 and has sold more than 75 million albums. The band's core remains the same as when it was founded in 1969, when they were known as Wildcountry: Randy Owen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), his cousin Teddy Gentry (bass), and another cousin, Jeff Cook (lead guitar, keyboards, fiddle). By 1973, the trio had decided to pursue music full time and they signed their first record deal -- and changed their name to The Alabama Band at the label's request -- in 1977. By the '80s, the band had hit its stride, moving huge numbers of concert tickets and filling their trophy cases with multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM awards.

My husband and I loved singing along with songs we’ve known for many years. We had great seats & music lived up to expectations & beyond! Great show. 🥰
We really enjoyed what we heard of the concert. The speakers were at an angle that were great if you were sitting directly out from the stage, but we were on the side. I really wish that they would have sang Roll On since it was the name of the tour.
The sound system was a disaster. Couldn't hear what was said. They dragged the songs out and repeating them. They didn't play many songs. Including the song the tour was named after. I have seen them before and this was not comparable.
The two bands were really good and I couldn’t think of anything bad to say but would go and see both bands again.
disappointed To much "sing along". I wanted to hear them sing, not the audience . Loved the fiddler solo Not of lot of energy so they just made it louder. Warm up band was good.
Extreme security was observed, so be sure to go early. LOTS of people were getting seated after the show had started. The Bellamys were great. Alabama was absolutely wonderful!!!! Randy Owen and Teddy sang their hearts out. Everyone knew their songs. So glad they are still doing shows. I would go to every show I can get to before they retire.
This was a great concert was! Glad I was able to attend.
The show was fantastic, just wish Teddy and Randy would have gone to the right side of the stage more often. Seemed they were more interested in the left side mostly. Think Teddy was in the middle of stage only once during the whole performance. I know they are getting older, but was so pleased to have gotten to see them again. First time was in 1980 before they even had their first number one song. Loved them. We were in section 102.
I recommend seeing them. This was the 4th time seeing them live and it was the best they have done.
