    Overall great event

by Petals on 5/21/24Los Angeles County Fair - Pomona

Overall a very good show! Lakeside was extremely entertaining and got everyone on their feet! Lead singer and other members were awesome as well as the band! The Manhattans with Gerald Alston … wow, Mr Alston, the original, has still got it at 72 years old, the other two Manhattans and band members delivered smooth classics with old school choreography ….excellent !!! Especially glad we were able to see them…The Ohio Players…. Nice coordinated costumes, The bass guitarist and horn section were great…but there seemed to be a disconnect in the music delivery… like they weren’t all together except on Love Rollercoaster… the drummer seemed tired toward the end…unfortunate because the drummer is the timekeeper for other musicians and they seem a little off

    Entertainers

by Lill on 5/20/24Los Angeles County Fair - Pomona

The show was OK, some of them didn't sound that good. I really enjoyed the Manhattan

Lakeside was fantastic but Ohio players just ok

by Fans on 5/20/24Los Angeles County Fair - Pomona

Lakeside was fantastic and cordial to the crowds but, disappointed with the Ohio players. They were not connected nor appreciative and did not say thank you and just walked away when they finished leaving everyone confused. Music and vocals just ok too.

    Prefer Lakeside over Ohio players

by Shirley on 5/20/24Los Angeles County Fair - Pomona

Ohio Players only played about 3 songs and then walked off the stage, disappointing. Lakeside was the opening act, they were phenomenal, everyone danced, lots of energy! The event was May 17, 2024 at LA county fair.

    A little disappointing.

by Ohio Players on 5/20/24Los Angeles County Fair - Pomona

The Ohio Players did not live up to their reputation. They seem to be having band and personal problems. This was disappointing as they were a very good group back in the day.

    O P need more practice

by gallinachina on 5/20/24Los Angeles County Fair - Pomona

We went to see Ohio players MANHATTANS Lakeside JJ walker. To be 100 % honest the MANHATTANS still sound the exact same as when we used to listen to the cds and radio. The Ohio players didn't. They need to practice more to get it right. Sorry I love the Ohio players but that's the true truth.

    Music Too Loud

by MzRyan on 5/20/24Los Angeles County Fair - Pomona

The music was so loud that the vocals didn’t come through clearly. They appeared to be unhappy about something because the show ended early and abruptly with a somber “good night”. What’s up with that Ohio Players? I’ll never attend another one of their events. Never again y’all…

LUV the Ohio Players, BUT . . .

by San on 5/20/24Los Angeles County Fair - Pomona

I was disappointed with the short time of their performance and the "abrupt"ending of the show was shocking. I saw them last year at the LA Fair and they were on the stage for at least an hour. The Ohio Players did not say goodbye, or at least let us know that they were performing the last song of the evening. I would have love to heard more of their famous hits. Maybe The Manhattans took up most of there time - they performed for over an hour, and out of the estimated 10 songs, only about 4 were recognizable.
