ZZ Top Concert Schedule
ZZ Top is a legendary American rock band known for their blues-infused rock music, bawdy lyrics and long, red beards. ZZ Top tours include the 2017 Tonnage Tour, 2016 Hell Raisers Tour, and the 2013 La Futura Tour. ZZ Top live shows leave the audience laughing dancing and feeling like they are at a jam session with close friends, instead of a concert headlined by rock and roll legends. Their massive success has allowed all of their albums to reach gold or platinum status. The band's best selling album is 1983's Eliminator, which spawned the hit singles "Legs" and "Sharped Dress Man." The album went on to sell 10 million units, reaching diamond status and the 25 million records they've sold in the U.S. makes them one of the top 100 selling artists in the country. ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.
ZZ Top Background
ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston Texas with guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbon, organist Lanier Greig and drummer Dan Mitchell. The name of the band came from Gibbons combining the names of B.B. King and Z.Z. Hill, when he noticed that many artists used their initials as their band's name. When ZZ King seemed too close to the originals he changed it to ZZ Top. The current lineup of the band consists of bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbon and drummer Frank Beard. ZZ Top's signature sound can best be described as blues-infused rock with elements of punk rock and new wave added through their use synthesizers. While Eliminator was the band's most successful album with 10 million albums sold, 1985's Afterburner was their highest charting album. All the singles from Afterburner were Top 40 hits and the album itself went on to sell five million copies. Other Top 40 singles include 1975's "Tush," 1977's "I Thank You," and 1981's "Gimme All Your Lovin'"Follow ZZ Top on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook.

Best show... nothing but hit after hit... Billy rocks...
Loved watching the band and the guitars were awesome. But couldn’t hear a single word that was sung. Sound was awful. Not the band’s fault. .
Man oh man! It was UNBELIEVABLE!!! For 3 old guys they can still get it ON! I mean, I live in New Orleans & use to see ZZ every few mos. They were showman then & still are! They put on a show w/ theatrics, lights, amps&more amps, & ended w/ bubbles going all over. They were kind enough to sign an album 4 a guy who was extremely persistent. I could have done w/out the old 75 yr lady dancing all over & blocking our view but terrific! I'd go once a month! Amazing how they never missed a beat. I once sat behind them@ the old 49 49 restaurant on Airline Hwy.

I once sat behind them@ the old 49 49 restaurant on Airline Hwy. They had an 8 yr old boy who danced the entire time & loves ONLY ZZTOPS. Nice2 see young&old fans hang together. My husband has MCI & I want him2be happy. He definitely was & still is. ThxU ZZ!!!
Variety of concessions was great, as were prices. Love that it is local vendors. Free parking was great! Venue seats need work. No cushion left on seats at all. Vocals were lousy for both acts. Sound in section 205 was lousy. It seemed the speakers facing 205 were not on.
It was worth the price of admission. They are older, still put on one hell of a show. I would see them again.
I only had one problem. I couldn't pay for souvenirs using exact change of cash. The souvenir/shirt stand of ZZ Top only accepted credit cards. If ZZ Top wants to do more business in the future, they should allow customers to pay for their souvenirs/shirts with more than one type of payment, using check, cash, money order or credit card.
I took my grandson, who is an old soul when it comes to music. He loved all of the old bands I grew up with in the 60s and 70s. We loved the smaller venue of the theater. It is hard to believe that it has been 52 years since their first album. They still put on one hell of a show and the opening band, The Sedonas, was very good also
How could ZZ Top not be a good show? Billy definitely can still command a stage. Good show and the opening band The Sedonas were really good too.
The first time I saw ZZ Top was at Willie Nelson's forth of July Picnic outside of Austin Texas in the 70's. The show brought back great memories for me and my wife.
