Zeds Dead on Tour
Veterans of the EDM festival circuit, Toronto's Zeds Dead are masters of unleashing singles to the masses to get everyone stoked for their live show. And over the summer of 2019, they dropped multiple tracks to do just that. The frenetic "Lift You Up," an accelerated synth-punk sprint that's liable to turn the dance tent into a mosh pit. "Rescue" — a collaboration with Dutch producer Dion Timmer and Toronto diva Delaney Jane — splits the difference between bass-wobbled beats and edgy alt-rock energy. But "Stars Tonight" — featuring Dutch duo DROELOE — leaps from piano-laced serenity to future-bass freakery, with heart-racing ascents and queasy drops that ensure their sets strike the right balance of euphoria and anarchy.
Zeds Dead in Concert
The Toronto-based duo of Dylan Mamid (aka DC) and Zachary Rapp-Rovan (aka Hooks) first came together in the mid-2000s under the name Mass Productions, a project steeped in their love of boom-bapped hip-hop. But as EDM came to dominate the city's club scene at the turn of the decade, the duo caught the wave and rebranded themselves Zeds Dead (a quote from Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction). While the 2010 single "Rude Boy" captures them still transitioning out of old-school breaks toward nu-rave sonics, the series of EPs they released through Diplo's Mad Decent imprint over the course of 2012 and 2014 saw them change things up. They retrofitted their sound for the festival circuit (take, for example, the steep drops and subterranean bass of "Hadouken"), and they also initiated alt-rock crossovers with the likes of Twin Shadow and Perry Farrell. After launching their own label, Deadbeat, Zeds Dead released their first proper album statement, the Juno Award–nominated Northern Lights, in 2016, with a wildly eclectic guest list (Diplo, Pusha T, Weezer's Rivers Cuomo) that speaks to their ever-evolving fusion of sun-dappled EDM, gritty rap production and rock power.
The show didn't happen because of some overdoses. Id appreciate it if I got my money back, or they played another show in philly that will allow me to use the ticket i already purchased
I was very disappointed with this show. I have had many a fantastic trips to the Electric Factory but this experience left me gutted. It would have been my first time seeing Zeds Dead. After the first opener everyone was rushed out due to naive and immature kids. I really want my money back.
Before 10 o'klock, when zeds dead was supposed to come on, 12 kids overdosed. Some as young as 15. I didn't even get to see zeds dead because i live 3 hours away. I waited for 2 hours for them to find another venue. So, on my way home, they announced there would be another one that night in Philly. Luckily it was 21 and older. And me being 18, didn't miss out on much. All in all, this venue is terrible, but its not Zeds dead's fault. Electric factory is a bad venue.
I've been a Zed's Dead fan for a while. This was my first time seeing them live. I thought the sets were decent, but I was disappointed in the lack of any type of light setup. No visuals, whatsoever. Also, the venue, Masquerade, was absolutely terrible. Very rude staff. I will definitely not return to this venue.
Great concert. Came on at midnight and played for an hour and a half. wish they came on earlier and played longer!

It was all right. It was good if you like Zeds Dead.
Only downside was giving opening DJ too much time.
After having seen Zed's Dead THROW DOWN at events like Bisco, the set they played at BB theater was weak in comparison. Obviously shows will always be better outside, but don't make people pay more and get less in Times square just because NYC has money :(
Popped off!! Energy was amazing, never a wait at the bar. Basshead was an awesome opener. Zeds dead & basshead really connected with the audience.
These two Canadian boys do DUBSTEP as good or better than anyone else! The visual part of the show is nothing special, but hearing Zeds Dead's music live and feeling it pulsate throughout your body is an indescribable pleasure!
Insane show...Zeds Dead hits you till you die and keeps htting you with bass till you come back to life time and time again

my first Dubstep concert and it was amazing. unlike anything i have experienced. really made me appreciate the genre so much more. Light show was sick.

Zeds Dead played an incredible 2 1/2 hours.However I was dissapointed when Arraab Muzik just didnt show up. The show ended before 11:30 and that is just to early.
Opening acts were pretty good, zeds dead was the best dubstep show I've ever attended and without a doubt would go again RIP Zed
I went to this concert and I was so excited to see arabmuzik but he canceled short notice . The show ended early and I was looking forward to something so much better . It was a good show but I was very disappointed.
The show in NYC was way better. this show started at 830 and ended at 11. was not worth the 30$
