About YoungBoy Never Broke Again
YoungBoy Never Broke Again in Concert
Attending a live YoungBoy Never Broke Again show is nothing like the family-friendly sports games his former nickname - NBA YoungBoy - might signal. His rowdy onstage performances (complete with members of his entourage) are more akin to unruly, packed house parties with menacing hip-hop and catchy hooks as the playlist. In 2017, the Baton Rouge rapper went on his first multi-city tour, Numb the Pain, headlined by Atlanta rap star 21 Savage. He then bowed his first solo run on the A.I. Youngboy tour to sold-out venues filled with loyal fans. Since, he has stage-dived and crowd-surfed through the festival circuit, thrilling audiences nationwide with his lyrical reflections on his struggles and turbulent upbringing.
YoungBoy Never Broke Again Background
Long before YoungBoy Never Broke Again became one of the most exciting new rappers, he was born Kentrell Gaulden in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His traumatic childhood experiences would quickly become a hot spring for his future records, an autobiographical collection of melancholic, often violent bars that resonate deeply with his cult-like fan base. After dropping out of high school in 2015, he turned to rap full-time and self-released eight mixtapes with a Walmart-purchased mic. He packed his early music with style influences (and a few features) from fellow Baton Rouge rappers Boosie Badazz and Kevin Gates.
By 2017, YoungBoy was a fast-rising star with the breakout single âUntouchable.â He later signed to Atlantic Records and dropped his debut studio album, Until Death Call My Name. Since, heâs not only released three No. 1-debuting projects, including his 2020 album, Top, but he also became YouTubeâs 2019 most-viewed artist in the U.S. His uploads arenât the flashy clips of a predictable rich celeb, but instead, they are a transparent window into his watch-worthy lifestyle, offered at a rapid-fire pace to intrigue fans.
In his first five years, YoungBoy sharpened his performances at the 2018 Lil WeezyAna Fest and the festival circuit, including Rolling Loud. He also earned a 2019 Hip Hop Award nomination for Impact Track with "I Am Who They Say I Am," featuring Kevin Gates and Quando. Heâs also collaborated with in-demand contemporaries like Lil Baby, Lil Durk and 21 Savage.
YoungBoy keeps the spotlight trained on his ascent with his energetic live shows, allowing fans to peer into his real-time mood, which swings from super-lit to stoic depending on the track. Plus, he adds a pop of fun with physical stunts that land him in the crowd among those closest to the stage. Amid his frenetic musical output, heâll have no shortage of material to perform.
I love Nba Youngboy he brought the whole city out it was a hype show youngboy did Great
He shutdown the whole venue it was one of the best experience in my life to be honest
I took my 11 year old son to see NBA YoungBoy only to get a stage full of friends and family, and a half of show. He pretended to go to the back and come back out to perform more songs. Minutes later we were told to have a goodnight. SMH. Never again!
Waited 2 hours for him to come out then when he did he left 45 minutes into his set đđŸ But the songs he did perform was great so it wasnât that bad.
Could have been better waited till 10 to come out and only did 4 songs everyone was on stage (not cool) he left and said he would come back never came back.
NBA YoungBoy is still my favorite rapper but never again will I spend money going to see him in concert. He didnât come on stage until almost 3 hrs after the concert started. There must have been 6 or 7 no name rappers before him that were terrible and continued to get booâd offstage. When he finally did come on there was probably over 100 other people on stage with him. There was drunk rappers falling on the stage and other people constantly in his way while he was trying to perform. He asked several times for everyone to get off stage which never happened. He finally got so frustrated he said man Iâll be back and never returned. He only rapped Mabye 5 songs.Me and my kids were so disappointed.
He didnt perform long enough . So many people on the stage couldn't really see him.
YB comes out to preform around 7 songs and leaves the concert. Huge waste of money and time. Also instead of it being him on stage itâs 100+ people so you can barely see him.
The fact that we pay a lot to see them I. Concert is one thing but for him to talk so long to come on stage and cut his concert short sucked. I will no longer support this character again musically very big disappointment
He said he'd be back out and never came back. He didn't play long enough, he was the main event and failed.
Three tickets were bought for my kids. They drove over 2 hrs to watch him perform for 40 minutes and then he didn't want to go back on stage. They were so disappointed. Don't think I will ever buy tickets to support him again.
Well it was a good performance. I didnât like the opening acts or anything. The dj was good. I didnât like how the VIP was not for NBA Youngboy which is what I paid my tickets for but it was for the Taylor girls.
The opening acts were pretty booty but it was so lit when Youngboy came out but he only performed 7 songs than dipped, wish we had gotten more. Overall I had a pretty good time though
YoungBoy and Quando Rondo was thuggin' did a great job!
Loved his performance love how u always have his kids đ„°đ„°đ„°
Did not like all the stuff that went on before the real concert start it. Some of the performers were ok, others should have never been on the stage
It was a long wait for Youngboy. Aside from one DJ, the opening groups at the Fillmore were really not worth it (like 1 Star). Youngboy was great and a good 4 Star performance as expected but that was highlight. For ticket price it would have been nice to enjoy the whole night, not just his performance.
Stood in line for an hour , watched 3 hours of okay performances by local artists then nba come on finally for 45 min n dip lol
He was amazing, but I paid 245$ vip to Meet & greet. But he left after Performing
I had a great time. Iâm glad the event was outside so it wasnât as hot.
